Well, if I see a worse game this season than Aston Villa v Liverpool, I'm going to cry - that was abysmal. A poor game, settled by the sort of goal who's buildup is more likely to appear on 'Own goals and gaffes' videos rather than anything else, in the 92nd minute. The camera flicked over to the much fawned-over O'Neill and he looked like he was going to cry.
That noise in the background ? That was Villa's usual late season wheel-falling-off, just a bit earlier than usual this year.

And from today's FA Cup round 3
Man Utd 0 Leeds 1
Fergie then proceeds to lift his head up from the whisky bottle long enough to declare it a 'disgrace to football' that there was only 5 minutes of injury time (and even then, in accordance with the 'Big 4 losing at home' Premiership rules, almost 6 minutes were played).
But it wasn't enough...and they lost.

If I didn't know how wholly unrepresentative of League One that Leeds team are, I'd say they did our division proud. Sadly, I know all too well that Leeds United are far, far above anything else League One has to offer. Picking a team to root for this afternoon was agony; so hard to decide which club I despised the least.davet010 wrote:And from today's FA Cup round 3

Those last few minutes were as exciting as any football I've seen this season, and I've seen Hartlepool United vs Oldham Athletic.

Yeah, I don't know which commentators you had, but the Sky ones described it as a 'disgrace'....how the ref didn't send him off I don't know, the same with that clapped-out donkey Puyol not having two penalties awarded against him.Macca00 wrote:Did anyone see that c@nt Ibrahimovic's tackle against Villareal? That was blatant intent to injury. How he only got a yellow is beyond me.
But of course, Bar$a are whiter than white, aren't they.
I remember talking to a bloke in the hotel when I was over there for my birthday, and we had obviously just been to watch them. He asked what it was like, and I just replied that the ground is nothing special, the atmosphere is none existent and that if I lived in Barcelona I would without a doubt support Espanyol.
He didn't quite know how to reply to that.

If what he put on his twitter page is true, then Freddy Adu is an idiot, and Phil Brown will ban his players from twitter.
I'll wait till Wednesday to respond.

City will, other than those who are injured or away at the African Cup of Nations, so probably missingfsquid wrote:before I decide to record the City-United game on Wednesday, will they have full squads out there?
Lescott, Bridge, Onuoha, Ireland, Adebayor.
United, who knows - guess it depends what Ferguson feels like when he sobers up. He did go on about how they weren't bothered about the League Cup and were going to play kids, but there's no way he's wanting any team called Manchester United to go to Eastlands and get a good arse kicking (a la Arsenal), so I suspect it'll be as full as his empty pockets can make it.
I hope so.

I think you'll see from United, fsquid wrote:before I decide to record the City-United game on Wednesday, will they have full squads out there?
Kuszczak, Scholes, Gibson, Giggs, Nani, Valencia, Rooney,
And whoever is healthy enough to play the back line.

Well if they want to build up interest in the WC, which they're broadcasting, it might be a good idea.
Certainly would beat the outdoors shows they have early in the weekend morning.
That and of course show the friendlies leading up to the event.
You just know that they will focus on Team USA and maybe England because of the expats.
