just change the ZIP code at the end.
Very neat sudz, thanks! A bunch of them near me have them, but the ones I called are all holding them until Sunday.

I found one today at Toys R Us. The victory capped a long two months of searching, continually telling the kids, 'don't worry, we'll find one!' I stopped believing it myself. I had two near misses last week (missed by one hour at Gamestop and Wal-Mart) and was having nasty PS2 flashbacks, when I couldn't find one until March.

I wasn't even going to ask the guy at TRU as I feel bad for the workers in all these stores having to answer the same question 50 times an hour. What I said as I was about to leave was 'When was the last time you got any Wiis in?', you know, just making conversation and allowing him to vent if he wanted. To my shock, he said 'We just got 8 of them in!' The workers were surprised that they had the units in stock for an hour and hadn't sold any, but of course, there was no sign announcing the Wiis or anything. I guess people were just supposed to know. In my haste, I forgot to buy any games, although I bought an extra controller and Nunchuk.

I'm more excited than I really should be...

I picked up the Rayman game yesterday, but it's not really my cup of tea. I'd be willing to trade for Madden, Excite Truck, or Elebits if anyone is interested. I could add a few bucks as well if the trade is uneven based on ebay resale values.

So far, it has been very hit-and-miss for me. The plunger shooting and dancing minigames are pretty fun, but some others aren't really that fun. I'm hoping to play some multiplayer this weekend, so maybe that'll help change my opinion of the game.

After praising NFS Carbon, I was looking around at the major review sites and noticed the game has been generally panned by everyone. I'm still really enjoying it though, even if the events designated as drifting are way over the top with the powerslides.

Finally got one! FYE.

:)

Now let's hope finding an extra controller and component cables isn't as difficult!

Web, just bite the bullet and order from Nintendo.com right now for everything you need. Shipping for the entire order was only $5 and it got to me within 5 or 6 business days. Also, I found a significant difference between the cheaper (Cylclone) component cables and the official brand.

Out of habit I always look for Wii products when I go to a store. I have still never seen a Nunchuck. The Wiimotes can be found if you look hard enough (saw some at Target last week). Component cables seem pretty plentiful at Wal-Mart and Best Buy now.

I'm giving up my search until March. I am tired of going into stores asking about a Wii, only to get the same response... "We don't have any Wiis, but we do have PS3s".

I'd have better luck finding a unicorn around here.

I ended up renting Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam from Gamefly and damn is it fun. After about an hour with the game the controls really felt intuitive. There were times when I lost total control of my skater and it was hard to get him back on track but after the controls finally clicked the game really opened up.

That's probably what I'll do Lee, thanks. I figure I'll make a run of the local stores on my way home today, and place an order for whatever I don't see today. The second Wii-mote is key, as I want to be able to play with my son.

Give me this, a solid baseball title, and Top Spin and the Wii will move from very good to great for me. Oh, and if NHL07/08 hits the Wii and they can do all the things i hope they can, i'd be in heaven.

For you new owners, don't forget to post your console codes in the sticky so we can build on the Mii parade!!

Piggy, thanks for posting that preview. Tiger's looking like a must-buy for me and it is great that it looks like they haven't taken modes out of the game.

I've never warmed to video golf (or real golf, for that matter - "spoiled walk" and all that) before Wii Sports, but I'll be damned how much I enjoy that, and Tiger is looking to really up the ante. I always figured hell would freeze before I bought a golf title, but those previews really got me excited.

But I'm cheap so I'll wait to see what some of you guys think when it comes out.

I ended up lucking out and grabbing an extra conroller and component cables last night. I grabbed the Psyclone components, and I noticed a pretty sharp difference in the picture, so I'm pretty happy with them.

Anyone know anything about Barnyard for the Wii? It seems to have a lot of mini games and control styles that my son would enjoy, (Driving, shooting, etc) but there haven't been too many reviews on it.

I've eagerly been waiting for Tiger news thinking this could really be a great game for Wii, and it does look good right now. I just the hope the game isn't too easy or arcady in terms of length or after-shot controls. If it stays at all sim, this is a definite 'buy' for me.

Also, when is Nintendo online-or wii connect-whatever they call it, supposed to be up and running? Would be nice if Tiger had that too, but given that it's not mentioned, I'm assuming it doesn't.

Haven't powered up my Wii in weeks. Too bad too. I am just not that excited about this thing much lately. I did pick up WarioWare put have not played it yet.

Anyone try Warioware yet?
