Guys, I just got back from Amsterdam this afternoon. I'm probably not going to be able to stay up very late tonight, but I may be able to play at 9PM tonight or just about any time tomorrow or Sunday.fsquid wrote:Leebo, JackB, you guys around?
edit: scratch tonight. I just dozed off reading the forum...zzzz

Yeah, that was fun. I got real sloppy at the end, but you deserved at least a 2-1 victory given your chances. I was extremely fortunate to hold the lead for as long as I did.
It's readily apparent as I play more of you guys with experience that I'm going to have to start using some tactics. I could get by in division three last season against other newbies with auto, but now that I've played you, squid, and zeppo that's not going to cut it. I'm going to have to dig into some tactics.
It's too bad this game doesn't have a spectator mode! It would be really fun to watch some of the heavyweights go at it in this league.

Stuttgart opened the match on the attack looking for their first league goal. 24 minutes In Tomasson found some space and let a shot go from the top of box and put the ball off the right post and in for the go ahead goal. Barcelona answered 7 minutes later as belletti broke into the box and fired off a shot that beat the Stuttgart keeper to level the match. Stuttgart continued to press as Cacau and Tomasson seemed to finally find their form. At the 40' mark Heldt hit Cacau in stride at the the 18 and after a few steps he burried the shot to put Stuttgart back in front.
The second half belonged to Barcelona as they pressed both offensively and defensively. A number of corners led to a few good opportunities that were spoiled by either poor accuracy or stellar saves. Stuttgart played the entire second half on their heels and were lucky to have escaped with the 3 points.
