No. Based on the footage back in January I think I stated clearly that I wasn’t going to get the game. I am not sure even about WT Tour coming up in a couple of weeks. They must have had a patch in between to fix some issues because it’s definitely playable and a challenging one at that.Teal wrote:Do you agree with the ign review? Because, yeesh...
There’s a bit of a learning curve, you gotta balance well when to hit the type of shot that you want, and based on the angle that you are and if you keep hitting the aggressive shot, your stamina drains a bit.
I don’t read much from IGN and I wonder if they reviewed the game back in January when it was originally released. It’s not a bare bones tennis game, but it’s not Topspin 4 either.
The meat of the game seems to be in your career, just creating your character is a lot of fun and if you can watch some of the videos that I posted, gameplay is quite realistic.
AgaIn, I am not sure if it’s been added to the Xbox Pass. I am a Tennis nut so I went for it for $50 here north of the border. It’s probably a bit cheaper where you guys are but I would definitely give it a shot if your kids like the sport.
If you’re just a casual fan, I would wait for the game to come down to about $30 bucks, but it’s been too long for me without a tennis game.
I am enjoying it and once you got the learning curve, you will enjoy it much more. I found it on the Xbox store and AO stands for Australian Open.
