It amazes me that someone thinks it's a good idea to pair Matt Millen and Joe Thiesmann together in the booth.
The English language lacks a single word that adequately encompasses the anti-chemistry that they generate during a broadcast.

That whole booth is awful, IMO. Then again, this is the same network that presents the most ludicrous wrap-up show in television.
Indeed, Go Vikings! They won't, though.

I must say that I owe Paul Maguire a huge apology for years of thinking he was the problem. Now I realize the error of my ways and realize that Theismann took one too many sacks and really has no business offering opinions about a football game to anybody, much less an audience. I do like Millen as a color commentator but his talents are being wasted with a team of Papa and Theismann.

Did you guys see these? The proposed Nike Pro combat uniforms for when Nike takes over from Reebok in 2012. Obviously they aren't official and they'll likely just be alternates (like the pro combat college unis), but still pretty cool designs (some of them are atrocious tho).

Overall pretty cool, but the Eagles one reminds me of Hawk from Buck Rodgers (really showing my age).

Yeah, those are definitely hit or miss. The Dolphins and Chargers are hideous. I liked the Chiefs helmet with the feathers. Didn't really like the Bears one and honestly I don't want to see it change.

That's funny cuz I thought the Chiefs one is horrendous and the Dolphins was sweet!

I really like the old school Bucs and Broncos unis...those would be tight.

If you read through that thread you'll see that those uniforms aren't being considered by Nike or the NFL, just something that a fan made up.

I SOOOO wish the Bears would keep their recent throw back uni's and just add the orange script 'B' to the blank helmet. Think that would look super cool.

Oh...and about the broadcast last night, that booth is completely offensive. Ugh! More even worse was the cheesy, lame, and downright embarrassing intro thingy. Anyone else notice how bad that was? The intro segment to the game that was really bad over dramatic cheese...? It literally made me uncomfortable.

Games on the NFL network are completely unwatchable. IMO.

The Hurricanes combat design is flat out AWESOME. I guess I'm in their demographic, cuz I like most of them.

I would switch permanently to that Bills' uniform this Sunday, with one change:

Oregon's is hideous. But it's not as bad as their Nike uniform from a couple of years ago, with the chrome kick plate pattern on the shoulders.

But I like the flat black "carbon fiber" look of Oregon's current helmets.

You do know that Oregon has like 300 combinations right? They never wear the same uni twice. So when you look at them once, it's always something different! I think they have four helmets alone (flat black, chrome/carbon, white, and green).

ok. Haven't checked the 'Canes one.

that said, IMO Miami needs to stop f#cking with their uniforms. They were perfect (the best actually) back in 2001-2006. Until they started making amateur looking modifications year by year.

The carbon fiber is awesome. The duck feathers not so much. It's like everybody watched Any Given Sunday and said, let's make are uniforms that stupid.

I thought how cool would it be to see the Steelers Alternate uniform be carbon fiber. Keep everything the same except make it a matte black. Or the Raven v Steelers in matter black uniforms.

It seems more and more players are wearing the new helmets designed to minimize head injuries.

Maybe once everyone wears the new design, there will be some old school holdouts like those players in the NHL who didn't wear any helmets.

There isn't any black at all. There is some light grey on it, the name, the trim on the pants (questionable addition) but the rest is dark green. They look badass on TV right now...team, not so much. :(

Man does the Texans secondary suck beans. No wonder they are the worst rated in the NFL. The sad thing is watching the game I expected the Texans to lose. Unfortunate for the Jets fans who went home early - they missed a great ending.

Was that Frank Reich or Ryan Fitzpatrick under center for the Bills today? What a comeback! :)
