Not sure how many people here ended up grabbing an Elite Controller along the way. I got one when they first came out and it ended up getting some series drift with the right analog stick. I tried selling it with the issue, but really didn't get any takers except for a few that offered up a few pennies for the thing. I had shelved it thinking I'd come back to it one day and try to fix it myself, but never really did. The point of all this is to say that I read online that MS extended the warranty of the Elite Controllers and were doing a 1 time replacement for broken controllers. Sure enough I contacted the online support, chatted for a few minutes with a rep, sent mine in stripped down of all the parts, and much to my surprise received a brand new sealed in box Elite controller. So, if anyone has a busted Elite controller and not sure what to do with it there you go.

What is the link where you chatted??? MS online support?

Yeah. I can get you the link when I get home, but basically xbox support. Just make sure you have a console registered with them in their system.

I am actually chatting with a Microsoft representative right now! Damn left stick has been drifting for months. Just assumed I was s*** out of luck. It's looking pretty good for a replacement controller! Thanks a lot for the heads up.

Went through just as you described Wilk5230! I just need to ship the base controller to them. The rep said it would take maybe 2-3 weeks. Good lookin' out Wilk5230!

Took them less than a week to get a new one to me.

Glad it worked out and yeah, it took less than 2 weeks from the day I shipped mine to them.

They don't charge for preorders until it ships.

I was a little iffy in the green logo, but decided to order it anyway. While would have been a better choice, in my opinion.
