Another team that I tried and really liked was the Falcons...that is a strong strong offense there with Turner, White, and Ryan.

It's EA Sports' Flagship franchise and the quality of the game finally reflects it. There'll always be things that can be improved, and if they're smart the EA Execs will stay the hell out of the way and allow the new team to follow the course they've set.
Best wishes,

I was actually helping cover a receiver who did this in my last game. Cut, slipped, and I abandoned him to jump the underneath route. The receiver who slipped (Hakeem Nicks of the G-Men) ended up getting up, blowing by my Dime CB and catching a deep post for a 75 yard score.XXXIV wrote:Leebo33 wrote:"13) Wide receivers must not always get off the line cleanly."
Yeah, I forgot about this. This is great in Madden 10.
Sometimes they even slip and fall on their own.
Not only do they slip, but they recover. I figured I'd have tagged Eli by that time, but it didn't happen and I paid the price.
Well, I've always found it kind of funny that when faced with the fastest set of athletes on the planet, a lot of people seem to think that the way to properly model it is to slow it down...and then slow it down some more.
That said, I do agree that there needs to be a mix of realism and fun. I'm playing with the sliders right now, but I'm not comfortable with them.

LOL, same thing happened to me with Robbie Gould. Nutted the meter and the ball snuck just under the crossbar.Danimal wrote:I just lost a game by missing a 49 yard field goal for the win by the kick being short, I was full on the meter.
That has never happened in madden before.
I've only played two games, but this is by far the best first impression next-gen Madden has made. It made a huge leap from last year in terms of realism and fun. Really love the variety of the passing game in particular.
I only have two initial complaints. One is that the defensive playbooks still suck. They are horribly generic. At least the offense has more variety.
Two is that the game still doesn't model RB platoons well. I played against the Panthers and Jonathan Stewart had 2 carries to DeAngelo Williams's 15. Maybe over a full 15 min game the splits will make more sense, or maybe I can adjust this, but I was disappointed to see this still in the game.
Overall, though, first time in a long time I have been impressed with this game.
They're a sneaky team. I found that the hard way yesterday playing against my Seahawks. They didn't do much in the running department but they got me with their passing game variety. It was a thriller 31-27 loss.tjung0831 wrote:I think I found my dynasty team....Tampa Bay. I Love Josh Freeman in this game...
Just finished a great game with the "Realism Sliders." I love the added game speed as it definitely makes everything look more realistic.
Here are some key stats for the game. Overall very encouraging.

Had my first game going into OT on All Pro, as WAS and MIA played a tight 10-10 game and with 2 seconds to go, the Redskins get the apparent FG winner until they get called for holding and the match goes into OT. Portis was a beast while Cambell's passing skills were tested often.
In OT, the game remains tight until Penny connects with one of the WR's under two minutes to go and the Dolphins finally ends the game with a FG. Never did I feel bored with both teams unable to get their offensive weapons going, in fact quite opposite, I was happy to play this defensive tactic game.

I have found that if you lower the angle of the arrow a little, you are able to add quite a bit of distance to your kicks. I'm now regularly making fgs from 50-55 yds out.Brando70 wrote:LOL, same thing happened to me with Robbie Gould. Also, to take care of getting more carries for your backup rb, there are sub out/sub in sliders specific to each position. The default settings for each are 60/80, so if you up each of those a bit you see quite a few more carries for your backup.
EDIT: I should also add that under the coach settings, there is a slider for RB1-RB2, so you could move that towards RB2 more if you want a true two rb platoon, rather than just subbing out a tired RB1.
