I thought there was no such thing as a luck bounce. You didn't believe in luck, its preperation blah blah blah.RallyMonkey wrote:You and I could have scored those two goals. Puck bounces on his stick twice right in front of the net.XXXIV wrote:This is the Kane I love!

I routinely wait out the goalie and roof it on the backhand. Child's play.RobVarak wrote:RallyMonkey wrote:You and I could have scored those two goals. Puck bounces on his stick twice right in front of the net.XXXIV wrote:This is the Kane I love!
It was also easily observed that Kane was not generating any other offensive chances the whole game.

Re: Hockey Night - 2013
Wait out the goalie? Are you kidding me? I tell you what, I have no idea how much time you've actually spent on skates, but if it's more than 5 years those two goals are in fact child's play. Christ, I run a drill with my pee wee players to lift a backhand over a downed goalie from the top of the crease. And my junior hockey players can do it in their sleep. Let's not make it more than it was. Not to mention, what i said was that I didn't believe there were simply "lucky goals", but were lucky bounces. Kane knew where he needed to be which is why they turned into goals. Reading is as much comprehension as it is just reading.
Now, if we can be adults again, as I also said, Chicago was the better team all night last night. They're speed is causing fits for the Bruins, something Toronto was able to do in round 1 but Pittsburgh for some reason couldn't capitalize on. Chicago has tilted the ice right now.
Also, I am finding this Hawks team to be very difficult to dislike. I like the way they play, I like Quenneville's coaching style, and I really like the support the Hawks get at home. Obviously I want the B's to pull off 2011 again, but if the Hawks close it out, I won't hate them holding the cup again.

Fair enough. I still say it isn't child's play outside of practice and in a game situation. There are multiple times during the broadcast of every game where it is mentioned that the player had an open net but could not lift the puck. That's all I am saying.RallyMonkey wrote:Wait out the goalie? Are you kidding me? Wow, I was pretty bitchy there. Bad day, sorry Scoop. We'll disagree about the level of difficulty, but we'll agree Kane is a terrific player. Give me 12 guys with his talents up front any day.ScoopBrady wrote:Fair enough. I still say it isn't child's play outside of practice and in a game situation. Toews and Bergeron both in the lineup for tonight. Exactly why hockey is home to the toughest athletes on the planet. No chance these two leaders were going to sit out this game. They may not finish, but you new damn well they were going to start.

With the weather blowing through here right now I am worrying I'll even get to see the game.

Re: Hockey Night - 2013
I doubt Bergeron can play more than 12 minutes tonight. Probably take key faceoffs, kill penalties and get substituted right away. My guess is a rib injury.
Marchand needs to be the pest he's been in the previous series.

Im sure the bruins will be making more of those nhl approved "hockey plays" tonight.10spro wrote:

Bruins are playing Bruins hockey right now. Hit everything that moves and capitalize on turnovers. Backs against the wall hockey tonight brings out the best in teams.
Re: Hockey Night - 2013
Wow that was a penalty but boy c*** got nothing....
disgrace

What did you want called on the Boychuck hit? 2 minutes for hitting the Captain? Big difference between a hit with the hands in the triangle and a crosscheck to the face away from the puck.XXXIV wrote:Wow that was a penalty but boy c*** got nothing....

You are right though. Intentional blows to the head are not penalties in betmans nhl.

Re: Hockey Night - 2013
Good period, nice play for the goal. Calls seem what I would expect for a game 6 at home and everyone in the world wanting to see 7 games. 2 Pp to none, I expect about a 6-1 ration at the end of the game just have to battle through it.
I'll never understand why guys are allowed to catch the puck seems like a silly rule to me but that's the first time I've ever seen someone convert it into a goal like that, was a really slick play. If I'm the Hawks I'm glad I'm only down 1 they got outplayed end to end.
I personally would put Oduya on the bench for the rest of the night. He is not getting it done.

Likely a makeup for the other night when the Hawks had two PP's to the Bruins none. They've tended to even up in the first four so I expect the the Hawks to get their chances.Danimal wrote:Good period, nice play for the goal. And yes, I agree, Chicago should feel great only being down one. Boston threw everything they had at them and its only 1-0.

Re: Hockey Night - 2013
What the hell is Shaw doing? Plays over and he punches Kelly in the face right in front of two linesmen and a referee? Just stupid.
Re: Hockey Night - 2013
Suck on that betmann!
