Watching Hill is like watching a bad college football quarterback.

Your boys came to play for sure. They came banging hard and never let Wilson settle down. Anyone's game before the INT.

I won't disagree with you.. but Hill's mistakes cost us a chance of a final win on the season. Then the stupid stretch out the football by Cunningham results in a TB.

SF just parted ways with Harbaugh and no strings attached. I bet Stephen Ross wishes he could take back his pledge to bring back Joe Philbin next year. :P

Well there is one bright side to this s*** hole of a season. At least we didn't draft Manziel, that guy is a drunken bar fight away from getting shot.

I would not be surprised if Rex Ryan is coaching the Bears next year.

I think Rex is a good coach. That dude made a bunch of good playoff runs on Jets team with barely any (good) players I can remember.

He may be a good defensive coach but what was his role in the Jets moving up to draft Sanchez with the 4th pick of the draft?

Also, surprising there isn't more exultation on this Bears, er NFL thread that they'll be getting a new coach and GM.

That's my impression as well. Sh*t he took the Jets to consecutive AFC Championship games with Mr. Butt Fumble. Rex Ryan is a much better HC than Joe Philbin.

He was below .500 as a coach. He made exactly 2 playoff "runs" with a team he inherited. In fact he has a similar winning percentage to the guy he replaced in Mangini. Exactly what has he done to be a good coach in your eyes? He is a personality, a better fit for a franchise like Oakland then the Bears. That said, I'd take him over any of the people who actually want the Bears job.

No one seems to notice the guys who are letting their interest known for the job are guys no one else wants. Shanahan and Singletary.

I don't see Ryan getting a gig unless he goes to Oakland.

Mr. Butt fumble is better than anything he chose to go with since. How is Geno Smith and Mike Vick working out? He inherited that team and in their first year they had the identical record they had the year before with Mangini. Like I said lets see if anyone hires him outside of Oakland.

From what i've read he was handicapped with Mike Tannebaum and then John Idzik. Both those GM's chose poorly and put the Jets in a hole and Ryan had no choice to play what was given to him. He did a far better job last year with his roster than Joe Philbin did. I'm not saying Ryan is a great HC but he got the shaft from the NY front office.

no he didn't. Rex Ryan was given plenty of chances. More than what most receive.

far as the Tannebaum/Ryan tenure, Rex was the defacto GM. While Tannenbaum served as the 'yes man' and bean-counter. Rex informed Tannebaum which players he coveted/needed in FA, the draft, via trade, and Tannenbaum went out and fetched. Including moving up, in several drafts (ie losing draft picks) to land specific players Rex had a man-crush on. A lot of overdrafting, which in time, led to a personnel deficiency. In fairness when Tannenbaum exited, Ryan should've been terminated as well.

personally, am not sad to see him receive walking papers. At least under Mangini and other below-average coaches, the Jets were at least likeable and easy to pull for. However under Ryan's "leadership", the Jets did their best to mimic the 1985 Bears. All-world cocky. Except, without the talent. A non-ideal combination, and severely unlikable team

while the NY media at large, gives Rex Ryan a free pass. A large number of Jet fans (majority?) have confided these same feelings i have.

What a boring offseason for the Chiefs. Their draft position sucks. They won't be changing coaches or the QB. They need to upgrade the OL and WR's, but I doubt anyone great is coming in to fill those roles. It feels like 9-7 is tough to improve from.

Rex will be the next coach in Atlanta if I were to guess. Given the talent level on that roster and the fact the GM got rid of his top 3 CB's, I thought he did a very good job getting the best out of that Jets team. Those teams played hard, and were physical, they simply lacked the horses.

Rex doesn't get the credit he deserves, although a lot of that is on him, as his public persona rubs a lot of people the wrong way.

Should be a very very good WR draft this year.

I've been looking over potential QB prospects in this years draft.. I think Baylor QB, Bryce Petty could be a good fit for the Rams.

I just started looking at draft stuff.. It's a pretty poor year for QB's in this class. Petty is interesting, but for a team that's desperate to make a jump, does he give you a better chance to win now than the QB's currently on your roster? Petty is a project imo.

The Rams draft at the 10 spot yes? What about the Hundley kid from UCLA? OR do you pick another position with their #1 and then in the 2nd or 3rd rounds try to get a project QB like Petty? If you go the latter route what about a kid like Sean Mannion from Oregon St. or the Grayson kid from Colorado St. ?
