Why do I care bout these losers? I dunno. I do.

Sighssssssssssss
That tie did not last long. Cards Fg after Wells goes for 57 yds...... Wells now has 207 yds in the game. So much for the defense being the bright side.

Thats the game. Cards get two first down to run out the clock after the Rams choke away a 3rd and one with and stupid incomplete pass and then a cowards punt.

Thats lamb football over the last decade. Lose and look stupid doing it.
At this point Im in a hurry for the season to end so I never have to look at that f***in p***y again.
I can always look forward to reading your thoughts on this shitty coached team. :)

In other news, I'm so happy Beanie Wells is on my fantasy football team!

Stevie Johnson maybe should have waited until the Bills won a game in November before mocking Plaxico Burress.

Another Bills' season in the septic tank. I watch the last five weeks solely out of loyalty.

Ugh.

As I said last week. Martz is an idiot.

The Bears play as bad as they can in the first half. The have the ball 2nd and inches with 40 seconds left and they can eat up all the time and go in with a 10-9 lead.

Instead they call a roll right, throw back across the field screen, in the red zone. Right when it happened I said that would cost them the game and it did. Then I watch the post game and people are sticking up for Martz!?!

I flash back to the post game of SB XXXVI.... Pats run a nickel defense on almost every single play and he just kept throwing into it because he refused to be dictated to. His response was that he should have gone no huddle the entire game. Really asswipe?

There is a bright side to the Broncos win here in Chicago. With two sports radio stations we have plenty of loud mouth idiots but there are two in particular who have serious Tebow issues.
In a week when the Bears were coming off of their fifth straight win and their qb had season threatening injury these two clowns chose to spend a good portion of their air time bashing Tebow. You know how annoying some of those Tebow supporters are ? These two idiots are far more obnoxious.

A couple more Denver wins and I think someone will have to talk them off of a ledge. Wont be me.

Man, Houston can't buy a break. First Schaub, then Leinart are out for the season. I think the Texans can limp into the playoffs and unless they can pick up an experienced QB (there aren't any available), I think they will be one and done unless TJ Yates can pull off a miracle (not likely). I swear, Houston is snake-bit when it comes to football and Pro sports teams in general.....

Houston has lost this season:

Arian Foster - first 2 weeks of the season
Mario Williams - played 4 weeks and had 5 sacks in Wade Phillips' new system (lost for the year - torn bicep vs. Oakland
Ben Tate for 2 weeks (ankle)
Derek Ward - 4 weeks (high ankle sprain)
James Casey - 3 weeks with torn bicep
Danieal Manning - 3 weeks with broken leg
Matt Schaub - torn Lisfranc tendon foot (lost for season)
Matt Leinart - Broken collarbone (lost for season)

They cannot sustain any more losses of key players or this season will quickly go from special to forgettable in no time.....

I completely agree with you, Dan, that was the dumbest call of the Bears season. Typical Martz overthinking the offense. I don't know why they didn't run there; they had plenty of time and I think two timeouts.

Still, to play that poorly in the first half and lose by five at Oakland was not all bad. Hanie settled down in the second half and his mobility will be a huge asset if the Bears use it properly. He's not Cutler by any stretch but I think he can get 3-4 wins if he doesn't turn the ball over like he did yesterday.

Next week is really big against the Chefs. Atlanta, Detroit, and the Giants all have pretty tough games. Would be great to get a little separation in the playoff pack.

Also, keep that in perspective a bit, Brando. They turned the ball over that many times to a team that didn't have its top 2 receiving threats, their leading tailback, and a center just coming back from concussion. The Bears defense was incredible at stacking up the box, rotating the entire defense down low, and then penetrating through the proper gap to shut down the running game. But with receivers who hadn't played much if at all (game hero Louis Murphy had 1 catch heading into the game), it was tough for him to get timing down on some of those routes. I can think of 3 or 4 throws that were about a yard too far to Schilens or Murphy, who had hadn't thrown to at all this year.

I think if the Bears had that kind of performance against the Packers, they'd have been trailing 31-0 by the half. Any team that wasn't missing 3 of its speediest playmakers would have cashed in on a lot of the deeper looks they had by halftime. Oakland just didn't have the ability to stretch the field for most of the game, which leads me to another point:

Peppers is a freaking monster.

The left side of the Oakland OL was one of the strongest points on the team for most of the season. Jared Veldheer held Jared Allen in check and sackless a week ago, but he was completely manhandled by Peppers. They started to try to give him help, and then the Bears' defensive tackles started wrecking shop in the middle instead. That was a huge reason the Raiders couldn't get deep even when they wanted to, but mixing that with a partially loaded gun really magnified it.

I think if Hanie does that again against a healthier team, the Bears are in real trouble. But he did get better as the game wore on, and he has the potential to make plays with his feet when protection breaks down, so there's that.

But losing by 5 with all of those mistakes isn't where I'd hang my hat if I were the Bears. The Raiders just looked very mediocre without McFadden and Ford and Denarius Moore. Those 3 guys alone account for most of the big plays on the field, so against a good defense like Chicago's, they were content to just hammer away and chip away with each possession. You'll never get blown out by a team playing like that, no matter how many times you turn it over.

Well I see it different Brando. I don't think Oakland is that good and regardless they should of won that game. If they had stuck to the ground and made plays on defense then they would of. Sure 6 field goals sounds better then 6 TD's but it is still 18 points and by my count they dropped 3 INT's from Palmer.

As a team I think they s*** the bed. D gave up big plays down the middle and missed opportunities for turn overs. Special teams was pretty much taken out of the game by the best punter in the history of the NFL even when they got the chance for a return they mucked it up. To me it looked like the D and special teams were trying to do too much and in doing so didn't play as normal. If guys were concentrating more on tackling then take aways a few of those drives by Oakland might of stalled.

In short Hanie doesn't worry me, it's how we plan to use him that does. Hell Denver is winning with a sack of potatoes at QB because John Fox is smart enough to understand what he can't do. History would tell us the Bears are not that smart.

Tebow is alot of things, but a "sack of potatoes" is downright wrong when you consider that while he does not have the prototypical NFL QB skills, he DOES have a knack for finding a way to WIN which is all that counts in the NFL. Style points don't mean a damn thing. I sure wish the Texans had Tebow right now with the way he is willing the Broncos to wins.....

I agree they played poorly, but I didn't have a "the season is over" moment like I have had with other Bears second-string QBs in the past. I think they can definitely get into the playoffs with Hanie, especially with their easy schedule, but the coaches need to adjust like you said. Hopefully they will against Kansas City.

Yes, I realize that you can't win a game without scoring points, which is normally done by the offense, but I give the Broncos D way more credit than I give Tebow (as I now get struck down by lightning). He's been absolutely horrific for about 18-20 of his 24 quarters and the Broncos D has kept them in every game. Couple that D with the resurgent McGahee (UUUUUUUU), and you have a nice recipe for success. Tebow, while making a few plays, has been pretty poor in the 4th quarter as well...by normal qb comparison metrics, but for some reason, the Broncos win anyway. Baffling really...
