Hopefully it won't be in there next season. Completely ruins the NFL for me. :D
Maybe Grossman designed the turnover aspect of the game using himself as the model.
Grossman needs a patch or at the very least a roster update. :D

The more I play the PC version the more I like it. I'm in the middle of a Half Time battle between the Bucs(16) and my Dolphins(14). It's been a see saw game so far in rainy conditions. I've seen the Bucs pooch an extra point and a short FG. I watched them employ a hurry up offense and I got scored on.

I had Porter pick off Garcia for a TD. I've lost a fumble, been called offsides, been called for roughing the passer. They shut me down at the goal line, damn.

I never saw this type of play in last years game. This years Madden on the PC has been really good. :D

I'll return your question, Rodster: What level and what slider adjustments, if any, are you using?

Thanks,

yeah, i agree. I brokedown and bought the pc version, so far it is pretty nice. I miss the 360-ish flavor but old madden was not bad either. It feels really good to play.

Thanks, dude. I'll give these a go, although I'm having fun at default Pro, too.

Where did you get these sliders, or did you devise them?

Thanks,
PK

You know, I really don't like going back and forth from 360 to the 'old' engine...

but you guys aren't lying. I just played a game against Detroit to open the season and they ran it down my throat. One drive they had was a 17 play marathon that they'd just eek out enough to get a 1st over and over. If I screwed up, I was instantly punished, and the only play that came to mind that was questionable was a LB covering my crossing TE that seemed to swat a pass down that was a foot from his hand, animation-wise. Other than that, it was a gritty, hard-fought, believable battle on All-Pro defaults.

I hate being indecisive.

As much crap as Madden throws at you, its fun for me. It took some major slider tweaks.

One last thing on INTs. Like others have said, the INTs aren't the problem. It's that so many are returned for TDs. Champ Bailey only took one back for a TD last year. In madden, Bailey will average one INT TD a game.

I had Jonathan Vilma intercept four in a recent franchise game, returning two for TD's. Luckily he only returned 1 for a TD in my last game.

I don't really want to mess with sliders, but the INT's and steroid kickoffs are bugging me a bit, plus I want a little more juice in the visual/presentation department. Oh, is that my one week post-Madden regret kicking in? Must play online more.

I hear you on that!

Honestly play both and you will see the AI (to me) is smarter on the PC then 360. I am going to tough it out on the 360 some more i have some sliders working but there is something that bothers me at the core of the game play. I'm also having a love/hate feeling about the whole weapons feature.

Have you tried turning weapons off?

I did and it helps a little bit. But they really need to patch this.

I'm trying not to get too caught up in the bad stuff and just am playing, for whatever reason it is still fun so far.

I lost my open to the Chargers last night as LT got around the edge and Urlacher tracked him down but sliped off the tackle.

I lost 27 - 17 but it was a fun game.

also is it me but is the align audilbe for DB coverage broke?

I'm hearing more and more that if the weapons are turned off, the game plays better.

I'm curious why this makes any difference. Aren't the weapons just a visual representation of the player ratings?

My plasma TV and comfy couch got me over my indecisiveness. Seriously, I'm not surprised the PC version is good, it was far better than the 360 version last year.

My first two games of my Bears regular season have seen five interceptions returned for TDs, three by me, two by the CPU. Only one was the complete BS variety, the patented Madden linebacker leap on a slant where my receiver was 10 yards behind the defender. A patch may reduce the turnovers, but I'm not sure a patch is going to fix the TOs returned for TDs that much because there's a lot of reasons why those happen (as others have already said).

However, despite this very annoying trait, I am in the fun camp. I'm getting some good variety in my games -- some defensive battles, some offensive explosions, variation with running and passing. The running game is the best it has ever been, and the passing game is also pretty good outside of the turnover issue. If you get a fast guy in one-on-one, you can hit the deep ball, whereas past games made it almost impossible to do that.

So I've come to the conclusion that Madden is like a good woman who gets severe PMS. Most of the time, things roll along just fine. But I also know that I'm going to run into trouble on a regular basis. For now, I'm willing to live with that.

I turned the weapons feature off after reading all about this and I honestly think I had better games with the feature on. I saw a lot more turnovers than in my initial games with weapons on.

I believe 6.5 is low, but the PC version is for all intents and purposes the XBOX and PS2 version with the much higher resolution.

Gamespot disses the PC's franchise mode when the 360's franchise mode is basically crap on a stick. Odd.

Does this mean that the PS2 plays great (what most are saying about the PC version) minus the graphics? Sorry if that is an obtuse question...

I really enjoy the PS3 version, and I think it looks pretty, so does this mean that I would *love* the PS2 version, but it will look butt ugly? I doubt I could switch at this point ... too much of a graphics whore to ever turn back. ;)

I just had one of those scarey EA halves vs the Cardinals.

The AI threw 6 INTs ...4 for TDs...and they are losing 52-0... :? 8O

Though Ive had a couple of goofy INT games...So far this is the only game Ive had thats been totally out of control.... but this is ridiculous.

This is on AP...8 min halves.

I won't say I enjoy it but I will probably put a lot of online games in with the PS3 version when it's all said and done.

Graphics or should I say the performance looks comparable to Madden 07 on the PS3. It's the gameplay which is at issue of course.

But the rumored announcement of FIFA 08 for PS3 coming at 60 FPS makes you wonder about Tiburon's abilities, assuming they had any interest in delivering that kind of performance on the PS3 SKU.
