Not as far as I know - although by the time it's finished it'll be called the 'Third Millennium' bridge. Wished they'd hired the crew who did the Allianz Arena.

Oddly enough, I keep hearing rumours on the City boards that we are signing Hamann - would be odd, as we've already signed a DM (Ousmane Dabo from Lazio on a Bosman).

City are also being linked with Thomas Gravesen, who appears surplus to requirements at Real Madrid.

Looks like City are moving to an ambitious 4-5-1 formation, with 3 defensive midfielders. That'll get the MCFC faithful flocking back to the City of Manchester stadium, I don't think.

Nice half...Italy had the slight edge in the play but their kicks off of the the set pieces were mostly crap. Germany a couple of good chances and finished the half off well.

Well reffed despite the misguided whistles of the homer crowd.

Neither team could send in a good chance on goal. I give the first half to Italy. Germany seemed to get stuck in the midfield.

Nice to see the ref non-existant in the first half. *Edit* It was Borowski not Podulski and it the yellow was well-deserved. You can't tackle from behind even if you get the ball first.

Problem is Klinsmann throws his hands up one every freaking call ...wether its right or not.

After hitting both the post and the crossbar in OT...I think the was the correct result . Italy would have been very unlucky if they had lost.
That was a great goal.

Having said that....that would have been the best 0-0 game I would have remembered seeing. Wouldnt have been right to see it decided on penalties.

Good game by Italy. It's hard for me to root for Italy, I guess they have that Brazil factor where everyone jumps on their bandwagon every world cup.

I dont know...I dont remember rooting for them or anyone else I know jumping their wagon.

Italy kept knocking in the second half and extra time and crushed it through.

Difference is Germany could rarely get good shots on goal but Italy kept hitting the posts or forced Lehman to come out because the defenders didn't seem to win too many challenges.

That was a great game, despite the outcome not being quite what I wanted. A terriffically paced match.

I'd like to see if Ronaldo can get by Cannavaro or one of those other Italian defenders. Germans couldn't.

Then again, Ital always seemed to have 3 guys on the ball once they approached the box.

Don't be a sore loser. Italy played a very good and exciting game today, despite not conceding a goal by the other team once again.

Nah scoring in the 115 minute still doesn't earn my praise for them. They won but couldn't do it in the 90 minutes. It was a great goal but equally the game could have gone to penalty kicks.

The way it is looking, France will probably get beat. I'd like to see France get to the finals after their Brazil defeat.
