Did anyone else who did the Amazon preorder get an email about the credit?

It says it's good for $5 off MP3 sales?

It is suppose to be $10 gift card?

I didn't even know about the $5 off MP3 or album purchase, LOL. The $10 GC will be issued within the next 10 business days via email. This deal is even better now. 8)

Got in and out real quick at gamestop, about 20 people there and they had two cashiers so it moved along. Played a preseason game Bears vs Bills and won 21-7. Both teams had 3 ints and Bills had 7 turnovers overall.

Love the flow and atmosphere of the game. Also accel clock big plus. I can finally play 15 min quarters and have accurate time of possession.

Played Bears vs Giants today. Got down 21-0 against Eli before making a comeback to win 28-21. I threw three picks with Cutler, it might be my sucky playing but I turned down the INT slider to 25. Turned up CPU run block to 55. Otherwise playing on default all-pro. Tried My Skill Settings in the second game and it felt better.

I have decided on Normal Speed, 15 min quarters, 20 sec runoff.

This is a game I will really enjoy playing all season, unlike Madden 08 which I traded in after a month and Madden 09 while better I couldn't get excited playing a game.

Fantastic job by EA and looking forward to building on the success next year.

Well, I was one of the (almost) 40-year olds up at midnight to get the game. A coulpe of Mt. Dews helped me stay up until 2am playing :) I was a little surprised at how uneventful the midnight event was. I got there about 12:05, and while there was a short line, it didn't seem to be the crazy line I expected.

Can someone explain to me the dline moves? Neither the manual nor the controller settings tell me how to do swim & bull rush type moves. I figure it's the R stick, but I'm on sure on how it exactly works.

This game is very 2k5-ish. You can tell they (finally) started listening to us on this. The audio is still terrible, but the cutscenes, stat overlays, and general flow of the game is really nice. I think this game will finally mothball 2k5 for me.

A couple of slight issues though.
- I upped some of the penalty sliders, and even at just as 55, holding penalties are happening way too much. Meanwhile, no other enalties are being called.
- It's hard to get a good pass rush. That may be due to my not fully understanding teh controls
- I decided to turn off the accelerated clock. NOt enough time for me to make adjustments on offense. On defense I still have to be quick, because the CPU tends to hike the ball fairly quickly.

Overall I'm real happy with the game so far.

Picked it up this morning at EB here in Canuckland. Traded in NHL09 (sacrilige, I know, but I figure 10 is due in a month), mlb2k9 (couldn't hack the glitches anymore) and Gears of War 1, which I finally finished......

EB then owed ME $4 for the game, as for 3 days they have a "if it's on the list, 2 games trade gets you Madden for $9.99!)

I'll add to the praise, although mine is slightly without true warrant as i have only played a game and a half. I too ventured out at midnight, although my launch party was crazy compared to some mentioned here...had to be 100 people in line. Being that i am also in the near-40 club, i waited until the line was gone before walking in. Note that i have also been a midnight cowboy for the previous three Madden efforts and have been utterly disappointed to the tune of waking up the next day wondering why i got no sleep for it. Today however, a different tune entirely.

I jumped on and played Steelers (me) vs. Patriots (Sport73) and had a really enjoyable game. Pats up 17-7 at the half and getting the ball. Steelers force them into a four and out and march down and score on a beautiful play action pass that had the Pats D thoroughly confused. Into the 4th quarter and Steelers have the Patriots in a 3rd and long and rather than run to waste more clock, Patriots opt to pass and Brady is hit and the ball is picked. Steelers inside the Patriot 40 with only a FG to tie. But alas, Big Ben is trying to hit Santonio Holmes on a deep slant across the middle........he is open..........but he fails to see the LB who had dropped into coverage on the opposite side of the field and he steps in front for the pick to secure the victory. (I won't mention the double coverage, bobbling cacth that Moss made late because it tailored my enthusiasm for the game just slightly)

For the first time in years i really enjoyed a game of Madden. The game is as close to feeling "real" in as long as i can remember a Madden game being. It's not an MLB experience or even an NHL09, but i am happy i picked it up.

I hardly have the same level of impressions that you guys do. I went to pick up my copy on my lunch break and played for about 30 minutes on the PS3 kiosk they have (by the way, I really don't like the PS3 controller after getting used to the 360 controller). I played as the Vikings at the Cowboys on default All-Pro.

I took a quick 7-0 lead on a good drive, mixing Peterson with a few passes. Then things went awry. What I loved about the experience is that passing with Tarvaris Jackson is a roller coaster. I realized that if I try to use the left stick at all with him on a pass that it is most likely going to be incomplete. All in all I probably had 5 or 6 incompletions that were just bad passes. Not drops. Not DB knockdowns, just inaccurate passes. That's awesome.

Just finished my second full game, and yeah, this game is finally just above the bar needed to keep my full attention for a full four quarters.

Like Matt, I'm still trying to figure out how to pull off D-Line moves - a cursory check of the manual and the internet hasn't helped. I'm also trying to figure out how to ask for an instant replay in a two player game, as it doesn't appear under coaching options.

Other than that, my only real complaint so far is that the replays only capture the end of longer plays which is a bummer.

Tavaris can't throw on the run or out of the pocket?

Isn't there some new control for sliding in the pocket?

What I meant was more that if I push the left stick to the right on a WR out on the right side of the field, the passes are all over the place. I can't try to place the ball at all with him. With Sage I was able to, but with Tarvaris it's a nightmare.

I wonder if the game truly is realistic. If it is, by week 3 or 4 you should see him on the sidelines with a clipboard in his hands.

Is the turnover bug in this game? My last Madden was 08, with the dreaded int return for td issues. Is this game worth the price? I will either buy Tiger 10 or Madden. I only have time for one. Any ideas?

Ive played a few games and I dont think there is a turnover problem but having these two plays in the same game is a little scarey.

Im finding plenty of realism in the game as here we see that Bulger can even over throw his receiver in a video game....

There were some highlights as well. Here Kyle Boller beats an all out Jets blitz and finds a very wide opent Robinson for what was the first TD of my Madden 10 experience.

Gotta love those throwbacks...

I had 4 turnovers in my Phins game against the Jags. So either there's a turnover bug or I suck. On second thought there is no turnover bug.

Guys I am a little tired I had a 36 hole qualifier today it was a long day.

As far as rules i am going to stick with what I posted, I really don't want to not use the ACC clock and I don't want to be the sole decision maker on trades with the cpu.

Badgun I'll invite you for the colts and Sport what team did you want?

Just out of curiosity are you able to search for the league and join? Leagues called DSP Invitiational and the password is....umm Cutler09 I think.

Otherwise I will have to add you all.

Got to play 4 games tonight on default all pro with 8 minute quarters and they were all fun games. Each game I was the Steelers, first game I couldn't do anything offensively against the Titans and lost 20-0, next game is a win against Detroit in overtime 23-17, then a great defensive game against Baltimore winning 9-7 with a last second field goal, then my last game against San Diego I moved the ball well all game until getting into the red zone and ended up throwing 5 ints and lost 33-14, also really struggled with trying to stop LT and Sproles in that game.

Only annoying thing for me is the instant kick by the cpu on field goals and extra points but I turned off the accelerated clock in the last game and that problem went away so perhaps that can be fixed with a patch. Otherwise great game, definitely the best Madden I've played.
