What did u get Zlax?
I'm shopping for a car too.
Looking of a decent fuel efficient mid-size car.
**Sorry for the threadjack*
I got a Nissan Sentra since i only go 10 miles to work every day so it is not like I have a huge commute. I ended up paying only 13,500 for a brand new 2005. I ended up getting a 2,500 cash back rebate. Yes, the car is not flashy but it gets me 27/34 MPG per sticker. Yes, I am not a flashy type person. The Mazda's are some nice cars though but a little out of my price range.

Nice deal Zlax.
I could never get that kind of deal down here in Puerto Rico. Car prices are off the roof here.

Minnesota hasn't beaten Purdue in a while and they have another chance to actually prove they're a real team when the Boilermakers go to the Dome this weekend. Iowa going to Ohio State is going to be tough. This is going to be 13-10 for whoever wins. And the Michigan/UW game is going to be a doozy. I'm not sure if the city of Madison can survive people tailgating all day for a Michigan game, but it will be fun finding out. If the Badgers win this one, the party on State Street will be one to remember.

To make matters worse highly touted freshman LB Brian Cushing who, was the #1 LB prospect in the country according to some is till out. I thnk Darnell Bing, whose their best defensive player is questionable for the game.
This makes an already shaky defense shakier. Going on personal experience, travelling to Autzen to play the Ducks is not a fun experience, and Oregon has offense to burn.
As a Trojan fan this game makes me real nervous.
Didnt Oregon also lose a great player, that stud RB they recruited?
I know you are worried, but from some of your post's at OS during the SC / Ark game, one would think you were saying USC could possibly lose that game.
I know you are a realist, but in my opinion you are a bit too pessimistic at times BK. I say SC wins easily hands down, even in Autzen.
What ya did for our Bolts last year BK, you will do this year for the Trojans!!
Boltman wrote:Another thing, was USC really missing 3 key starters on D this game?
Talk about a pool of depth, sheesh.
Bush is the Heisman winner this year, barring injury of course.
No Bing played, so they were only missing two, Thomas and Sartz. Thomas being out is killing us. His replacement John Williams is the kid who gave up the long ball for Oregon's TD. Thomas being out and other injuries leaves USC with only 3 scholarship CB's. Although they are moving William Buchannon (son of Charger and Packer pro bowl CB Willie Buchannon) back to CB this week.
I was happy with the defense for the most part. They held a very good Oregon offense to 267 total yards and 13 points, despite only playing 3 players who were starters in 2004. That is pretty good depth.
Frostee Rucker played probably his best game his career yesterday.
Damn...I had 21.5 points and Oregon against a guy at work (another annoying USC fan that all seem to show up these days) and I thought I was sitting pretty at 10-0 in the 2nd...that went to hell real quick.
I think USC should be really concered about ASU though...that offense is nuts. I just worry about Golden on the corner. I went to high school with his older brother and they are both damn small. Hopefully ASU can shock them, a la Nebraska in '96. If USC overlooks them at all...they better watch out.
Bush was electrifying. The Oregon defenders were tackling really poorly, like the one guy who got juked bad by Leinhart! But Bush was like two beats ahead of anyone trying to tackle him, with the shake making them tentative.
USC is really unstoppable. They can put Bush out in space against a single defender and he's a good bet to turn a 5-yard catch into a gamebreaking play.
Plus quietly, or maybe not so quietly, Jarrett is going to eclipse Mike Williams' TD streak, if he hasn't done so already. Guy looks to be more in the Braylon Edwards mold, but bigger and probably as fast. Leinhart could throw the jump ball to Jarrett or have him outrun the defender.
Can these guys hurry up and enter the draft already? SC probably has their replacements lined up already.
Oregon dude picks off a pass in the end zone and has his eyes on a 105 yard return. Goes up the left sideline and has 2 USC guys to beat. A slow lineman and, in front of him, Leinart. So what does the dude do?
Runs out of bounds.
If I am that guy, I lower my shoulder and hit Leinart as hard as I possibly can.
Actually, I think that might have been the 5-8 CB that they were exploiting later in the game with 6-5 Jarrett.
If anything, he should have cut hard inside and try to take it the distance. There didn't seem to be too much pursuit behind him so he could have gone for a wide lateral cutback against the grain.

No it looks as asanine today as it was last week. Had you picked up on the upset this week, instead of the Oregon St game you would be a genius. Until you make such a pick you have to settle for dumbass.

Jarrett now has like 20 or 21 Td's in 16 games played.
USC won't look past ASU. They typically get up for the team that's crowned to be the team that challenges them for the Pac 10 title. Still I expect it to be a battle. ASU's offense is pretty damn good. Their only weakness offensively looks to be their lack of ability to run the ball between the tackles, and running outside vs. USC is difficult due to the team speed on D.
USC should beat ASU, but I would not be shocked if they lost to a very good ASU team on the road.
