Truth:
This little bit of dialogue from the classic "This Is Spinal Tap" should suffice, with my parenthetical expressions added:
Marty DiBergi: "But what if another band's 10 (PGR 2) was louder than your 11 (TOCA 2)?"
Nigel Tufnel, looking puzzled: "This one goes to 11."
That sums it up, my friend!
Take care,
PK

Replaced the Formula Fords in my book for fun factor. They haul ass, but handle wonderfully. You really have a pucker factor the entire time you go through a technical section. Plus, they seem to race on some of the same tracks that the formula fords do...so when you come to a corner that you're used to taking at 110, and you're doing 150....it's a new experience
Took a break today and continued in the career mode, also climbing to GT Lights.
Those cars are quite fun, nimble and quick. But I still prefer FFords because they have less grip. The rear wing of the GT Lights provides enough downforce to keep the car from getting really skittish unless you carry way too much speed into the corners. FFords are twitchy all the time, which is great.
I still really dig the GT Lights and am eager to race them. But FFords remain my love.
Also, while I think the rally mode is mediocre at best, racing the off-road trucks on the Scottish Loch Lomond and the Brands Hatch courses in the Rallycross mode was mega-fun. That, and the decent Alpe D'Huez ice racing, rescues the overall off-road mode for me.
Take care,
PK

Maybe you should host tonight, man. You seem to be further along in the Career mode than anyone, just like PGR 2.
Take care,

Hey guys,
If anyone is on and hosting before the official start of poker night tonight could you send me an invite? I won't be able to race after 10:30 EST but I'd love to get a few laps in with the DSP crew before that. I'd host but as I found out last night I can only handle 3 people before lag starts showing up.
I might have to look into switching to Bellsouth DSL Xtreme or Comcast 3mbps cable internet. My Knology 1.5mbps service just isn't holding up well.

Cool.
I'm debating whether to do an early or late shift of TOCA 2 tonight. Probably a late shift, starting around 10:30 or 11 p.m. (EDT). I have some TV recorded on the DVR that I want to watch, and I'll never get to it if I start racing first.
See you and the other cats tonight.
Take care,
PK

Won't happen. I promise. I seek redemption, and redemption will be mine.
Redemption may not equal victories, but it will equal good standing with fellow members of the DSPRC (Digital Sportspage Racing Club).
Out,
