Just a guess.
No doubt it's ready for an EA Access rollout. But more importantly what does it say for the sales of Live 18 and the franchise? The game was being sold for $39 before release and the price has continued to drop. I got in at $29 and now it's $9. And to be fair, NBA Live is actually pretty decent this year but they are in the same hole that 2K was in when they tried to compete with Madden. Now EA is trying to compete with 2K's franchise game.

EA really needs a rethink on its basketball game and maybe they should just bring back the NBA Street game.

Personally I think Live caught up a bit to 2K this year. Has it overtaken 2K....hell no but it for damn sure is a more fun game in my opinion and I’m not alone. 2K’s shooting engine is broke IMO. If Live simply had 2k’s animations I wouldn’t even fire up 2K. Again, simply my opinion...I realize there are many that bow to 2K and thats fine but there is no denying Live has made a move in the right direction. I just wish EA (or someone) would make an MLB game. I love The Show but would love to see a fresh competitor.
