I'll try more tonight but was just not feeling it. I'm thinking of getting forza 6 instead since I have $20 in bb gc.
Re: FIFA 16
Doesn't Target, BB and TRU usually do the buy 2, get 1 deal at some point in the fall?
Re: FIFA 16
Bb had all ea sports games for $20 on Black Friday last 2 years. I'm sure they'll do it again this bf.wco81 wrote:Doesn't Target, BB and TRU usually do the buy 2, get 1 deal at some point in the fall?
Re: FIFA 16
I played the PS4 demo and to me it doesn't seem look as nice as FIFA 14/15 on the XONE. I'm seeing more jaggies while playing. Idk, but I find the game play to be meh, it's still the same FIFA. So far, my nod goes to PES 16. The game play is tighter, the AI plays more team aware on the pitch. I'm still getting that me against the world feeling in FIFA.

I think I may wait for a special deal on Black Friday so I can pick up Fifa and NHL (although NHL hasn't wowed me yet).Inuyasha wrote:Bb had all ea sports games for $20 on Black Friday last 2 years. Re: FIFA 16
My impressions of the FIFA 16 demo are very positive. It polishes a nice slab of marble from FIFA 15.
Pros and cons:
PROS
+ Much more patient and varied buildup by the CPU team. Finally see back passes and long passes to switch field. Long overdue.
+ Far better AI by CPU-controlled defenders on both teams. Many more passes cut out.
+ Goalkeepers seem to make fewer dopey mistakes.
+ Superstars are even more monstrous than in FIFA 15. Ronaldo is tough to stop on the run, and Suarez is deadly in the box.
+ Pretty graphics. Faces are even more realistic than last season, and the animations are fluid.
+ Pro skill level seems tougher than FIFA 15.
CONS
- Not seeing as many fouls in the demo as in FIFA 15.
- Speed of passing and player movement seems to increase at each skill level.
- The long diagonal switch-field pass may be overused by the CPU.
- Almost no change to commentary by Tyler and Smith.
- Tutorial overlay is distracting as hell. I couldn't click right stick fast enough to turn it off.

Re: FIFA 16
Played some more while dl NHL and this year based off demo I'm going w Xbo version. The pace is just right to make it fun. Ps4 feels slower and like they're trying to be too sim. I know it the same game but if runs faster on xb i prefer that.

I agree with much of what PK said.. I will add that I find shooting to be a wanky at times with many shots seemingly lacking power while having a bit of dip. I'm also thrilled to see AI mates actually move to the ball instead of standing there waiting for the pass or loose ball to roll to them.

I'm seeing a nice variety of shot speed. For example, Suarez drills them in the box, while a shot by Alex Morgan off her weak foot dribbled toward the net like a wet noodle.FifaInspected wrote:I agree with much of what PK said.. Re: FIFA 16
That was the exact feeling I got with the PES 16 demo. Felt the same as PES 15.Rodster wrote:I played the PS4 demo and to me it doesn't seem look as nice as FIFA 14/15 on the XONE. The FIFA 16 demo feels improved compared to the very good FIFA 15, especially with the more patient and varied offensive buildup by the CPU offense. The AI defense -- for both human and CPU teams -- is far better in FIFA 16 than in 15. I see AI-controlled players cutting off far more passes than in last year's game.
I think there still are plenty of artifacts from the past affecting people's perceptions of FIFA and PES. FIFA was an unrealistic joke worthy of every syllable of derision five or six years ago, and PES was the long-reigning monarch of realism. That gap was closed by last year. PES 2015 had just as many gameplay flaws as FIFA 15 but in different areas.
For example, it was far too easy to move the ball through the midfield in PES 2015, something that remains in the 2016 demo. But then the game hits a brick wall at the 18s. So many times matches feel like an old game of Pong, with the ball sailing back and forth through the midfield before hitting the paddles better known as the boundary of the 18s. FIFA 15 and 16 have improved in this area. FIFA also did a far better job than PES with realistic numbers of fouls and cards last year.
Yet the knee-jerk urban legend still remains that Konami has a significant edge in all areas of gameplay realism, and EA's main edge is modes, licenses and solid online play. It's just not true anymore.

Re: FIFA 16
I'll be buying both PES 16 and FIFA 16 because well, I am a soccer addict.
In terms of gameplay preference, I was much surprised by the PES demo especially when you play at the superstar level and lower the support level to 0 or -1 while leaving all assists off. While there are some issues as usual with Konami when the keeper has some brain cramps and the lack of fouls calling. Trying to play like that with FIFA with all assist off is almost suicidal.
In PES, when you try to control your player, it sometimes comes to a crawl and needs addressing, but I noticed the same issue with FIFA 16 in the demo where it's much easier to strip the ball from the player you're controlling whereas in 15 you could shield the ball better from the opposition.
The improvements in FIFA 16 are subtle while I was much immersed in the PES demo.

Pes was fresh yo me because I haven't played it in 5 years. But the demo felt more exciting to play for pes. But I may wait for a price dro.

Re: FIFA 16
Just played the prompted game between Real and Barcelona. The settings were carried over from 15 which for me was on World level and assisted passing. It was an entertaining up and down 3-3 tie where the best players in each team made a noticeable difference.
I still find the pace a bit too quick for me even though I have it set up on slow, it could be a World thing but there were times where the ping pong passing from the CPU was just lethal. Unbreakable.
The coins on FUT from 15 were transferred with no problems and the search for my Ultimate team will soon begin. Simulation wise, I still prefer the gameplay on PES 16, the pacing is just perfect for me.
Headers seem to be strong again in 16.

wha wha wha wha what!?!? tell me your not joking. You can switch over all FUT 15 COINTS TO 16? If yes, then I will def be buying this game.
Re: FIFA 16
I should rephrase that. Your points from 15 carry over, not your coins earned during your matches.Inuyasha wrote:10spro wrote:

Re: FIFA 16
One thing is for certain regarding my preferences. I much prefer the PS4 controller over the Xbox one with regards to this game.
Re: FIFA 16
I agree, even so when I play NHL. What I've done instead is to remap totally my controller to whatever action you feel more naturally to your liking. For some reason I prefer the sticks better on the PS4 for sports games except golf.sportdan30 wrote:One thing is for certain regarding my preferences. Re: FIFA 16
Hoped the full version would sway me but still found it stale. Doubt I'll get it now.

Re: FIFA 16
To me, 16 is not nearly as smooth and fluid as 15 was when it comes to the player movement. Not sure what they tweaked, but playing back to back w/ 16 and 15, I preferred the feel of 15 considerably. Maybe this year I just need to roll w/ PES to get a break from the FIFA brand since it's been a few years running now.

Agree. Also the gameplay feels boring. Not sure what they ddid. 14/15 feel more exciting to play.
But 16 CPU ai is better and CPU goalie too. I also like mistakes by CPU goalie in 16. Last night he threw it right to me on a clear and I got a easy goal. Don't think it was a bug but I think they're trying to make it feel more random. It was vs Liverpool who has a good goalie.
But 16 plays very boring. Looking forward to pes but the option file user config is bs. .
Re: FIFA 16
That should be stupid AI logic. If your goalie is throwing the ball to the other team in front of the net in the EPL. Two things would happen.Inuyasha wrote:I also like mistakes by CPU goalie in 16. The fans would rush the goalie and that goalie would be out of a job. I still prefer PES because i'm tired of me vs the world when I play FIFA.

That's Mignolet for you though. He can be brilliant and dumb at the same time.Inuyasha wrote:But 16 CPU ai is better and CPU goalie too. I also like mistakes by CPU goalie in 16.
