Forza Horizon 2

The final line of the IGN review:

"Forza Horizon 2 is Test Drive Unlimited, PGR, Smuggler’s Run, and Forza Motorsport all crammed into a T-shirt cannon and fired into your face. It wears its inspiration on its sleeves but damn if that’s not a killer combination."

Bingo. That's a perfect description of the original Horizon, and I'm glad it fits even better with Horizon 2.

Can't wait for this one.

Damn gotta stop reading these reviews. Tuesday can't get here fast enough. I think I'm going to make this my first digital purchase as a I can't imagine I'll want to trade it in for a long time.

For those that ordered the digital versions of Forza Horizon 2, it is ready for downloading. I am currently downloading 34gb of goodness while trying to beat XXXIV ghosts in Forza 5.

I think it has been available for a couple of weeks now, I bought it last Monday and it took me 3 days to download with my blazingly slow dsl.

My Horizon 2 debut will be delayed until Saturday. Pre-ordered for Best Buy pickup, but I leave at 6 a.m. Tuesday to work a race, back Saturday afternoon.

Reminder to get this free launch bonus car pack you have to go to game add ons in the Xbox One console store to download them, for me it was listed at the bottom of popular add ons. I thought the pack automatically came with the day one digital download but it is a separate download.

Nope. Can't do it. Likely won't. I get bored of racing games without a social element. Buying Horizon 2 would cost me 460 bucks, in order for me to get it for the social element. I'll pass...

I was curious about this, as well--I went to the store page and it said "you can download this now, but you will not be able to play until 12:01AM ET on 9/30/2014..."

So it LOOKS like we're good for a 9PM PT start unless the message is wrong.

I didn't notice that. Hell, even 11pm for my CT download is better than 2am for past games.

Oh, GOD...I forgot how insanely cool the "You just got a new car from leveling up!" stuff was in Horizon. Totally slipped my mind. That was one of the coolest things about leveling up in any game. Why do this and Shadow of Mordor have to come out on the same day!!!
