Wow what? Why is everyone making such a big deal about this? Yes...he COULD leave...but I doubt it. It helps Miami so that they can restructure the "big three's" contracts to fit another star or some other smaller pieces. It's all about options for both he and the Heat. I fully expect him to be back in Miami next year with another 3 or 4 year deal with an option year...just like his last contract.
Rumors are the Rockets will be pursuing LeBron hard. It would be a good fit talent-wise for both, but who knows if Houston or another team can lure him to leave. Houston was one of if not the youngest teams in the NBA last season......but with Harden and Howard as cornerstones, it could happen, but I would not put money on it....

EXACTLY !
I expect D-Wade and Bosh to opt out as well. The team needs talent help and people keep forgetting that Miami is a hot spot for International markets. He makes more from sponsorships than he does salary wise. And might as well throw in his team ownership in the new Miami MLS team with David Beckham. From a business standpoint, I don't see him leaving Miami either, other than to make Riley work the phones for more talent.

He has given no indications he would ever do that again. He's actually been pretty low key about it. I also seriously doubt he'll go back to Cleveland.

Again, what if Wade decides he only has two more years left and opts in at 20 million a year?
Lebron is all about rings now. No way he re-signs with Miami unless they bring in enough talent to ensure
they can compete for the title. After the past 2 years, it's obvious they have gone as far as they can with
the current Heat team.
Lebron will go to whatever team gives him the best opportunity for more rings...period.

D is not worth $20M and he knows it, not with his injuries. If he doesn't opt out then he'll be playing without LJ. Bosh has said he loves Miami and wants to stay so getting him to opt out shouldn't be a problem.

Umm, NO !
What guarantees does he have that he'll immediately gel with his new team? The answer is NONE !
Just because you build a superstar roster doesn't guarantee anything. Look at the Heat the 1st year they were together. And the history of sports teams like the Yankees who built all-star teams and didn't win it all.

Which "big three" are you talking about, because Wade looks like he's ready to retire and Bosh is the most overpaid/overrated player in the NBA? Lebron knows he can't win in Miami anymore and is
looking to go where he can.
If Lebron goes...who's Wade going to play dress up with?

I don't disagree with any of that. I never said guarantee either.

Again, you're missing the point. These dudes have all talked about this. If Wade is staying, and getting his 20, then Lebron is gone. Hell, if Wade and Bosh both told Lebron they are staying, that might be the reason he opted out...so he can go and get his elsewhere...knowing that he can't win with those two any longer. They have all discussed it and figured it out...the chips are just starting to fall. This is a players league...clearly. They can pretty much manipulate and move around wherever they want and teams will accommodate them. If Lebron wanted to play in say...OKC next year...you can be sure as sh*t they'd find a way to move Westbrook or Ibaka to make that happen.
Whatever Lebron wants...is what Lebron is going to get.

Harden is a straight up gunner. Not a good fit. Sixers! I digress.

Not exactly....Harden is more effective taking the rock to the hole now that there is a presence in the middle with Howard......

And then standing in the paint while the other team goes the other way (or it just seems that way). Harden and Melo playing D...WHOA! Good luck w/ that if it happens.
Here’s what I find most interesting about LeBron James opting out of his contract on June 24, before the draft and six days before his deadline?
It was unilateral.
It was not a coordinated move with the two other members of Miami’s “big three” — Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade. Which is what Wade thought it would be. Rather, it was LeBron sending a message not only to Pat Riley and the Heat about upgrading the roster but to Wade and Bosh that they better join him in creating cap space or he can take his talents to Chicago or Los Angeles or wherever. They may ultimately make coordinated moves, but not yet.

Exactly. Houston might allow 120 points per game.

How exactly do you know that he discussed all this with Bosh & Wade?
I agree that this is a "players league" and it's a shame that these superstars can manipulate teams and the entire league this way. It means that the smaller market teams will never be successful because no stars will go play there. I know it's been trending that way for a while, but the NBA is just getting more and more that way. Even if you land a superstar in the draft, he will be gone in a few years anyway to a large market team. Why not just form an "all star" team and travel around the country playing everyone else, like the Globetrotters? It's almost coming to that.
Rodster wrote: How exactly do you know that he discussed all this with Bosh & Wade?
Because he said so......
Well you can tell Captain Obvious to "at ease" go back to the barracks , because here are numerous reports that the big 3 have not discussed anything yet together......
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2109 ... ganization
"And even if James didn’t want to bring Riley into the mix after some of the harsh words Riley had spoken during his June 19 press conference, he could have sat down with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh to discuss how they wanted to proceed with their contract options. But this is apparently something James decided not to do.
"Wade and Bosh have yet to make their decisions as to whether they will exercise their two-year options with the Heat". And according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, James is expected to meet with Wade and Bosh in the coming days to discuss their future with the Heat, which would indicate that James did not have a great deal of discussion with Wade or Bosh prior to making his own decision to opt out."
It's interesting that they will have this discussion AFTER James has already made up his mind.
Come on, Jack: Do you think LeBron, Bosh and Wade only are discussing their futures at some glorified "summit" meeting? I'm sure they've texted each other about it since the season ended.
These reports of a "summit" are nothing more than NBA beat writers trying to scoop each other about a story that is fairly meaningless. I doubt this decision will be made in some sort of Corleone back room meeting.

lol. just saying there are no "official reports" saying Lebron has discussed anything with them yet...that's all.
It's all meaningless speculation at this point anyway. I would just love to see the King go the NYC and clash
heads with Melo the Magnificent. Could you imagine the media circus that would be?
