Re: OT: Medical Issue
My sweet daughter is back in the hospital (been there since Thursday). Early indications are that her diagnosis will be changed to schizophrenia. We have her in a hospital here in Charlotte, which is much better than having her where she had been previously.
This is all so overwhelming. Just knowing that it will never be "over." We can only hope to "manage" it.

I dont know you but I know you love her.

Damn Steve...thought the no news was good news in the past six or so months. Sorry to hear she's back in the hospital. Hopefully the docs can get her stabilized and under control.

Re: OT: Medical Issue
Steve,
I'm so heartbroken reading this. I don't even know quite what to say. I went back and re-read the first blog post your wife wrote. Your family has been through so much. I can only hope that one day there will be a remedy to this sad situation and your daughter will be able to a live a happy and healthy life.

Re: OT: Medical Issue
Thanks guys for the kind words, thoughts, and prayers. You all are helping me a great deal.
Re: OT: Medical Issue
My daughter is back in the hospital....this being the fifth time within the year, and only 2 1/2 weeks since she was last released.
I have to tell you guys, I am just losing it inside. I have to be strong for my family, but my inner rock is truly crumbling. I question what kind of future my daughter will have, and in turn, what our future as a family looks like. All those dreams of magic moments. like walking her down the aisle for example, are just gone. Now I just pray that she survives. This is just draining us all.
Please keep those thoughts and prayers going. I thank you guys.
Steve

Re: OT: Medical Issue
Damn Steve...this is just terrible to hear. I'm pulling for you and the family...hopefully someone, somewhere can figure out a good treatment plan for your beautiful daughter so that she can have those moments you dream of. Keep your chin up man...we've all got your back.
Re: OT: Medical Issue
I will renew those prayers for sure. Tough times man, stay strong.
Re: OT: Medical Issue
We'll all be praying for/thinking of you, Steve. I constantly have the same thoughts over the years with my Autistic boy (dreams that likely won't come true), but it pales in comparison to what you're dealing with. Perhaps in time there will be a breakthrough with mental illnesses--the human mind is a crazy network, so stranger things have happened. Just have to keep getting through each day and hoping. I know it's impossible for us to really understand what you're going through, so I'll just say hang in there and we're all thinking of you.
