Wow this game is bad. Played for about a half hour a few days ago and another half hour tonight and I literally cannot wait to ship it back to Gamefly. I wasn't a fan of the first at all either, so it's not exactly surprising that I didn't like this one. They better not get rid of spots like Gamefly in the next gen...it'll save me a fortune.

While I truly had no expectations of this being TOCA 4, I wasn't expecting to be bored. After a couple attempts, nothing is making me want to go back and play this. I have never been into story lines for racing games, but this one is really bad and dumb. As PK pointed out, it does not know what it wants to be. Need for Speed Most Wanted is far more fun for an arcade racer, and Forza Horizon is much better at being a sim/arcade hybrid with a story line. I could not believe how the cars just don't feel different. Even the Indycar feels the same (main reason I bought the game was hope that the Indycar racing would be close to the old Codematers Indycar for the original Xbox- wishful thinking). Control is very strange as well, and even with the wheel it is hard to dial it in. The leaderboards and challenges are nothing as seamless and fun as those in Horizon, or even Codemasters own F1 2012 for that matter. I will continue to try and stick it out to see if the career progression gets better, but right now it feels like work. Really has me appreciating Horizon as probably my favorite current generation racing title.

GRID 2 is a mess. The leader in the clubhouse so far for my 2013 Gaming Disappointment of the Year. My copy already is gone. Like The Donald, I had zero desire to play it after about a two-hour test drive.

Forza Horizon, DIRT 3 (other than Gymkhana) and F1 2012 are the best racing games I've played on the 360.

Yup......even I, who actually was digging it early on, have lost interest.

Boo-urns.

Anyone want to sell me their copy of GRID2 for the xbox 360?

Finally got around to trying the demo and really enjoyed it. Really nice balance for me between sim and arcade.

Sorry, Jack. I traded in my copy within a week of receiving it. Hated it. The original GRID is streets better, no pun intended.

Hated it? Really? wow 8O

But I'm not nearly as hardcore as you with my racing games. If the full game is like the demo, I should have a lot of fun with it.
The driving model is perfect for me. Not frustratingly hard, yet not as easy as the NFS or Burnout type games. Just right.

I'm playing the game for free as a PSN+ member. The game is decent at best. If you have to pay for it make sure you can buy it dirt cheap. The AI is annoying at times but that goes with the territory and these types of racing games. Remember you are not seeing all they want to show you in the demo. As you progress in the game you may encounter the urge to lob the controller at the screen.

I still have the first one. Maybe I'll revisit that instead?

Much better. The driving model is far more predictable yet still has a very nice blend of arcade and sim, with a slight lean toward the arcade side.

I played the hell out of GRID. I ditched GRID 2 within an hour of removing the shrink wrap.
