Ditto.
Let the DSP Battlefield revival begin. I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on the special edition game for $30 Friday. Miss this game.

Amazon now has the Premium edition up for $29.99. Not sure for how long.

Now I can avoid hitting the stores today. :D

A couple of things to keep in mind for a possible friday night gathering: There are big download updates. Grab these in advance.

Also. Could we have a problem with some guys with various DLC and others w/o? Anyone know how that is going to work?

That's the same price as two DLC packs.

Just ordered mine from Amazon. Thanks for the heads up. I MIGHT have it Friday but definitely Saturday. Glad I didn't delete my profile when I traded in the game.

If most have the Premium edition then I'd love to do the Armored Kill expansion - if not everyone should have the Back to Karkand maps and the original maps are good too.

For the guys returning - don't bother with the Close Quarters maps/expansion pack - it's DICE's attempt at COD and it's not very good.

Friday and Saturday - I will be online! Can't wait!

Quick, stupid question. I still have BF3 disc 1 and 2 on my HD along with my profile and some expansion stuff. My question is can I delete all that stuff and still have my ranking in MP when I get the game? Is my ranking/level connected to my gamer tag and accessible thru the game itself? I'd like to clear all the stuff from the game off my HD and do a fresh install but I obviously want to keep my ranking.

Normally, you can just delete specific files from your HD. If you go into Xbox memory and choose a game, you'll usually see save game data separate from install data, and more discrete files for expansion packs data. You can delete all data for a game, or you can just delete specific data sets within a game.

I'm not sure if you'll gain anything from a fresh install, but you should be able to do it.

I deleted all of my BF3 saves when I sold the game last spring, like a dumbass. I'm starting over from Level 1 with tonight's purchase of BF3 Premium Edition for $25 at Troll-Mart.

Looking forward to it, though!

I could be wrong here but I believe all online ranking is connected to our GT and not save files. Time will tell I guess.

I was thinking the same this as Diablo.. I still have the game but am thinking about picking up the premium edition as it's cheaper than buying the DLC.

pk,
your online progression is saved server side. Any offline campaign saves will be lost, however.

Because I have a new GT I have started over. Plus I've played most of my time with this game on the PS3 with friends overseas and have unlocked just about everything there is to unlock on that system. It's rough starting over from scratch, believe me.

Good to know, Wilk. Thanks!

But I'll still have training wheels on tonight. I don't think I progressed much past Level 10 when I first had this game.

Looking forward to it, though! What time are we locking and loading tonight?

Downloading all the updates now. Those of you getting back in, make sure you give yourself some time to get all the goodies downloaded.
