Amazon (Canada) has the Vita version for $5 off, but I'm still hoping for news about a PS3/Vita bundle/promotion. Isn't a bit late though? They would really upset hardcore fans who pre-order if they announce something now.

Heard they've both been addressed, especially with the pulse pitching.Brando70 wrote:Really, the only two improvements I'd like to see are having it be harder to throw strikes (without having to use classic pitching) and better management AI by the CPU.

Thanks for the heads up. I just pre-ordered the Vita version, although Amazon takes forever to ship things, don't they?fanatic wrote:Amazon (Canada) has the Vita version for $5 off, but I'm still hoping for news about a PS3/Vita bundle/promotion. That's what I'm hoping too, AJ. The meter was a little harder after they patched the game, but I felt like it erred on the side of grooving pitches you missed, rather than pushing them outside of the zone.AJColossal wrote:Heard they've both been addressed, especially with the pulse pitching.Brando70 wrote:Really, the only two improvements I'd like to see are having it be harder to throw strikes (without having to use classic pitching) and better management AI by the CPU.

Actually, I don't think I've ever ordered a game from Amazon - just books/movies. You might be right about a delay in shipping though (even a couple days would feel like forever!). Kind of defeats the purpose of pre-ordering, if true.10spro wrote:Thanks for the heads up. Amazon normally ships same day. Love Amazon w/ a passion. Especially if you choose release date shipping, you'll get it the day it comes out.10spro wrote:Thanks for the heads up. I just pre-ordered the Vita version, although Amazon takes forever to ship things, don't they?
However, I'm gonna get the Vita version via the PSN store. I want it on my device at all times. It's not like other games where I'll tire of them and want to sell it.

Same here. Getting the download version.
I'm an Amazon devotee and Prime member though. My Vita will be here on Thursday.

Well, I went with the free shipping and it said it takes about 5 days while express shipping for about $4-$5 extra guaranteed day release. I hope they don't take the full 5 days, because then yes, it will feel like an eternity while you Kats are loving the show.fanatic wrote:Actually, I don't think I've ever ordered a game from Amazon - just books/movies. Re: MLB 12 The Show
There will be a PS3/Vita bundle...that is a certainty. Rumor is that the Vita will be half off with the purchase of the PS3 version.
Re: MLB 12 The Show
Dammit.. I ordered, free release day shipping since I'm an Amazon prime member. At least my ps3 can get some use.
Re: MLB 12 The Show
That's about $79.95 which isn't bad. I purchased the same bundle from Lockerz for $73.sportdan30 wrote:There will be a PS3/Vita bundle...that is a certainty. Rumor is that the Vita will be half off with the purchase of the PS3 version.

$20 savings over buying separately.sportdan30 wrote:Purchase both for $20? Deal!Danimal wrote:Good news boys Cag is reporting Best Buy will offer the option to purchases both for $20 of so $80 total.

Re: MLB 12 The Show
From the Vita thread, which should be discussed here and not there...woops:
Some interesting tidbits down below in the details section on the two for 80 deal at Gamestop.
Have to fully complete the game (was hoping we could save mid game) and then upload the save file to the cloud being one, and the second being you cannot use 3G. What the F? The entire reason I bought the 3G version (well besides the fact it came out a week earlier) was so that I could do that without having to connect to wifi. Sure, it's not that big of a deal from someone like myself who's got the tethering and hacked phone that I can create a hotspot w/ but for a lot of people that are forking over the 15 bucks for the 3G plan that's a slap in the nuts.

Agree on the 3G thing but it doesn't impact me.dbdynsty25 wrote:From the Vita thread, which should be discussed here and not there...woops:

Re: MLB 12 The Show
Reading some early impressions over at OS and the people with early copies are raving about the new ball physics. The one guy worded it "jump out at you" stunned at how much better it makes the game. Pulse pitching is getting very positive impressions too. Great news.
I have seen/heard a few things that really have me juiced....
1. Ball sounds off the bat are much improved
2. More realistic swing animations
3. Ball Physics.

Some of these videos I've watched from people playing at Best Buy.. I have to really tell myself I'm watching a video game. The way they view the game with all the various camera angles is nothing short of amazing and exactly how real life broadcasts do it.
Honestly, I can't even play anymore of the 2k demo.
I would cry if there was a hockey game like this.

Re: MLB 12 The Show
Went into Gamestop tonight to pre-order the bundle and they had no clue what it was and it wasn't in there system. She said it must be online only which f***in defeats the purposes since shipping to get it on release day is $11.
I'll take my chances on Tuesday and just go into Best Buy.

Re: MLB 12 The Show
Gamestop has the biggest dumbasses working for them. I went there today looking for a Vita case. They wouldn't let me open the box without paying for it. I asked if they could open it for me. They said nope.
So I had to pay for it, too find out it's not what I wanted. So I had to wait in line to get my money back.
