Re: TDU2
Servers for all 3 versions are down at the moment and there is no ETA on a fix.
If you get a corrupt save game message on X360, files may not actually be corrupt. Try logging into the game WITHOUT being logged on to XBL. I was able to recover my game file that way.
This is just a sh*tshow of a launch so far. This may be the final nail in the coffin for Atari.

PS3 has been no better. I haven't been able to log on to a server since launch day. Considering how long they delayed this game it is kind of surprising there have been so many problems. I'm sure they will eventually get things figured out.spooky157 wrote:Servers for all 3 versions are down at the moment and there is no ETA on a fix.

Re: TDU2
I've been too busy exploring and taking people's cars to the shop for them to notice the servers much.
This game is like crack to me.

It's remarkable how much better the cars handle after you get past the initial several classes of cars. I think the developer would have done well to make the initial car classes handle as well as the cars you get later on. There is a noticeable number of people on the various forums who bought the game, played it for a couple hours, soured on the car handling, and gave up on it. I've gone about 500 miles now and am still enjoying exploring and looking for wrecked cars and taking photos. I'm getting ready to upgrade houses from one with a 4-car garage to a 6-car garage. For a game with a reportedly low development budget I think it is really good and I'm glad I gave it a chance.

Re: TDU2
Yeah I definitely agree. Even just the jump from the first car to the 3rd car (went from the Lotus to a GTI to a Camaro SS) is huge. I'm having a lot better time driving now. This game definitely is like crack and I'm enjoying it just as much as I did the first one.toonarmy wrote:It's remarkable how much better the cars handle after you get past the initial several classes of cars. I switch between the furthest 3rd person view and the cockpit. I'd love to always drive inside the car but its kinda of distracting the way the camera sways with the turns. I don't know...just feels wrong to me.vinny-b wrote:what camera view does everyone drive with? Just curious..

Just opened up Hawaii-boy, did they ever give that place a facelift. I played the first game to death, and I had a hard time recognizing places. Oh, and off road championships are a friggin' blast...

Re: TDU2
Well, all was going well online with the patch until the game started getting super choppy to the point of almost freezing. I guess they still have some kinks to work out lol. I'm on the PS3. Hopefully the 360 version is faring better. Hard to believe that a game in which online is such an integral part and had a fairly big beta testing program is having this much problem.
As far as the game itself, offline, I am really digging the offroad stuff as Teal mentioned. The offroad vehicles handle better for me. I've always been able to kick more ass in dirt-style racing than road racing for whatever reason, and TDU2 is no exception.

Just finished the Ibiza Cup (I think it's the last "series" on the first island, but not sure, tuned it off right after)...holy crap that last race is long. 75 or so miles...takes around 45 min. Wow...the time just flew by tho. This game is crack.

Pretty cool review...
In an unrelated event. I went and got this game tonight

apparently 'Classic Game Room' was the very first video review site on the internet. Find his humor really funny. Dude needs to be on TV..
