NPR fires Juan Williams for speaking his mind

Sigh. This is what happens every single time with political threads.

JRod makes a point, but doesn't hide his contempt with unnecessary comments like "by the brilliant logic displayed here".

Teal comments that JRod has "his head in the sand" and claims that JRod just wants to argue and says there's no point to his argument (while missing the point of his argument).

And then the political threads invariably turn into who can be the bigger asshole. For those that want to whine about not having political threads - THIS IS WHY. Politics just seems to turn up the asshole meter in posters for some reason.

Anyways, I thought I'd let this thread go and see if it would just naturally die without turning into this...but I was wrong. Thread locked.
