Reviews have been favorable from those over at gamefaqs. I know I know...not a great resource necessarily for reviews. A few CAG gamers have posted brief reviews, but are enjoying it as well.

I'm excited to pick this game up!

Whether it's too Japanese or Westernized, it's golf. I am getting a copy.

I picked it up and played 9 holes with my g/f's daughter last night. Can't give much by way of impressions after only 9 holes, other than it's next generation Hot Shots, and I love it. Between this and The Show, I'm set for awhile.

Unfortunately, I'm fairly disappointed right now. Now, let me ammend that by saying that I was more in the mood last night to play RSV2, but it hadn't arrived from Gamefly yet (today though). So it may be in part because I wished I had picked up the OTHER game. So hopefully it'll be better tonight when I've got both games in hand.

The golf is good though...I was just bored.

For those that have it, how is the game difficulty-wise? The Hot Shots series has been extremely easy for me to hit "perfect" shots with the meter nearly every time. That makes it just a game of picking the right club and adjusting for wind. If its just as easy to nail it perfectly in the PS3 Hot Shots then I have no interest.

Not sure, but there's a new advanced shot system. I don't think many people will be using the old meter system.

From what I've read on a few forums, while harder to gauge distance, the advanced shot mechanic is even easier to hit the impact point perfectly.

I've always loved the series but I've become bored of golf games that I can post ridiculous numbers in and just coast through.

I picked it up for $40 and I'm pretty underwhelmed after a couple hours with the game. I'm sure the courses will get harder, but does the meter ever get harder? It's pretty easy to get a nice shot almost every time.

At $40 I don't feel too bad and I can sell it and get most of my money back. I think it's a pretty big rip-off at $60 compared to what you get in Tiger Woods.

No. Its near impossible to miss a fairway until you get to the last course where the game resembles SNES True Golf:Wicked 18 more than a regular golf game. Because its so easy to hit a perfect shot they had to compensate by creating ridiculous slopes and landing areas on the last course. Other than that the difficulty never changed for me and I won every event easily. On-line was not any fun either because the good players post stupid scores where if you are not chipping in birdies and eagles on every hole you don't stand a chance.

Golf games like Sierra's PGA Championship and EA's PC version of Tiger 06 have forever ruined me from golf games where it is ridiculously easy to hit the ball perfectly. I don't enjoy it when the game comes down to nothing but calculating distance, wind, etc. I would love a game like Hot Shots if they just made it harder to hit the distance and impact points, either 3-click or advanced shot, or at least added different difficulty levels that would speed it up accordingly.

As it is I enjoyed Hot Shots at first but it then grew very old, very fast when I realized that the difficulty would never change regardless of character/club/ball selection.

Picked this one up several weeks ago and have been playing it a ton. I am about 3/4s of the way through from what I can tell. While it is indeed fairly easy until late in the game I am having a lot of fun with it. I hope they come out with another one before the PS4.

I used to play the crap out of this game. Is the multi-player community still strong?

I personally hated HSG 5 on the PS3. I think this game is perfect for the PSP which I happen to have both.

Not sure what it used to be like, but I had no problem finding a match the one time I've gone online. I like the lobby concept for online play. Kind of fun running around with the character and acting stupid.

The game can be had for $20 at Kmart. I'd say $20 or less is a good price for it. I'm surprised we've heard nothing on HSG6.

Still got it. If you don't mind the cutey cartoonsy characters it plays a fun game of golf.

Definitely worth it, especially if you have enjoyed past Hot Shots Golf games.

I was able to find a pre-owned copy at Best Buy for $18 this past weekend. I definitely have missed this game. It's laid back and overall a joy to play.

There's a new HGS in the works. Sony announced their Games Lineup. All we have is the title to the game.

Just pulled this off the PS Store and am having a blast with it.

Is it possible to have more than one profile loaded on this game? (or any PS3 game for that matter)
