GLOL. I saw the film in IMAX and I don't think that did her any favors.
Still it's probably better that they replaced Mrs. Tom Cruise. It's too hard for me to see her as anything but a brainwashed shell these days.

His ability to ferret out puzzles, his accounting, etc all fit the same profile as the traditional Riddler. He definitely has a grudge and thinks he's smarter than Batman.
He looked pretty grateful when B. Wayne saved his life.

Saw it last night, and all I can say is "wowowowowow". A terrific ride from beginning to end, even if the last reel lost a little steam. I thought the score was brilliant, and I haven't seen it mentioned in this thread yet. Great undercurrent to the drama.
I also completely agree with Gangrel that the ferry scene was important. That scene was like an emotional payoff for all of the back and forth between Bats and the Joker with regards to good/evil, order/chaos...
As a matter of fact, I think my favorite scene in the movie was when the prisoner took the detonator and said "Let me do what you should have done 10 minutes ago." Loved it.

I don't get it. I've always liked Maggie Gyllenhaal. She's F'ing adorable. She was so hot in Secretary. Plus she's a much better actress than Katie Holmes, by a country mile.
The character didn't have much depth but that's the fault of the writers, not Maggie Gyllenhaal.

Yes. One of the best parts of the movie for me too.
FINALLY got around to see it. Totally enjoyed it, but agree with some that the pacing was a little off and/or long. I thought the movie was going to end 3 different times. Good times. Oh, and Ledger deserves a nomination.
OK I FINALLY saw this last night. I know I am way late to this party, but I wasn't the only one, as the theater was packed.
Anyway, what a great movie. Like a roller coaster ride without going to the amusement park. Fastest paced movie I think I ever saw and definitely the LOUDEST sound effects of any movie.
Ledger was BRILLIANT as The Joker and I couldn't help but think of his tragic suicide after his brilliant scene after brilliant scene. I like how they didn't explicitly show you how everything happened. They leave a lot for your imagination. Glad I finally saw this flick. So entertaining!
Coolest scene: "The Skyhook"
Funniest Moment: "The Joker washing his hands in the hospital scene"
Worst Casting: Gylenhaal's (Spel?) sister. The needed a real hottie in that role.
