Ok I just got in on this google checkout shopping the other night by ordering Rainbox Six for $39 and now was able to do it with College Hoops, so it looks like this deal is unlimited in the amount of times it can be used as long as you keep making single purchases. Really good deals. :)

I would say hands down this game has the best presentation, best atmosphere of any sports game i've ever played. I am really liking it so far, best sports game by far, i've ever played.
Good to hear!

I'm going to go against the grain and state that I like NBA 2K7 a bit better for a few reasons:

- the signature shots and player models are very realistic in NBA and it adds a lot to the game IMO. I know it has a lot to do with the restrictions on the college licensing, but NBA looks and feels more like I'm controlling a real NBA game than College Hoops feels like I'm controlling a college game. I also feel like the differences in the way teams play is more pronounced in NBA.

- I'll accept the fact that it's probably user error, but I'm having a hell of a time getting any blocked shots (as is the CPU even with slider adjustments) in College Hoops and playing defense in general is not as much fun as it could be. It seems like the animation for jumping is too slow. It also seems like there are too many cherry picks by the CPU on the offensive end even if I change my coaching settings.

- my biggest complaint, which can probably be addressed with sliders, is all the blown layups. I also have a tough time getting my players to try a dunk as much as they should. If I go into practice mode I can control if I want to dunk but in the games it seems like if there is a player close to the basket my player will do a layup rather than a dunk even if I try to dunk.

Overall, I think College Hoops is a good game and a lot of fun. I just prefer NBA 2K7. I may goof around with it some more, but if anyone is looking for the game for $52 shipped let me know. I may try to turn it around quickly as I don't really have enough time to play two basketball games and these 360 games seem to lose a lot of value after a month or two.

I actually block shots much more often and easier in College Hoops. Also seems like there are a lot more block animations in college hoops.

I can't block a thing in NBA 2kx. But like you said, that's probably due to user error on my end.

The only issue I'm having with college hoops is that I've got two guys on my team (I am using San Fran with the WCC) that can just sprint up the sidelines after a made basket and get layups at the other end...just because they are fast.

I don't care about lack of blocked shots, i've seen a few though. I'm also not having any issues with layups. I'm pretty much playing on default settings and the only thing i've changed is game speed and player speed. I thought the game played way to slow out of the box. It's a rock solid game though as far as i'm concerned.

I thought NBA 2k7 was a very good game of basketball but I just didn't have much fun with it. I ended up trading it in and picked up College Hoops and I've got to say that this game is just a blast to play. It might not play better than NBA 2k7 but for me it definitely out-funs it. College Hoops 2k5 was my favorite basketball game and I think this one is even better. I passed on 2k6 since it was released so late but I'm glad I didn't pass on this one.

Anyone pick this up for the xbox?

I know this is like asking if anyone has recently rented Risky Business on Betamax, but I'm trying to get as much as I can from last gen.

Lol,I've got it...it is pretty much 2K6 with real coaches, more fight songs and team tendency sliders. They didn't reinvent the wheel, but if you liked 2K6,you'll definitely like 2K7.

I'm going against the grain and saying it's clear that NBA 2K7 is overall a better game. I don't even think it's close.

First of all in College Hoops too many passes just bounce of the back of a player. I've also thrown passes to players and for whatever reason, they'll continue and end up out of bounds.

I playd a game with the Zags and can't count how many missed layups or shots in the paint I had. Contested... uncontested, it just didn't seam to matter. It may be user error, but I just don't know. No problems nailing 3's all game long. Computer doesn't seem to have issues gunning 3's either. Matter of fact, in the few offline games I've played it seems the computer's offensive strategy is based on the 3.

If you can get past your defender nobody seems to helpout along the baseline. Several times I've made move to get around my defender and once I do, the other defenders just seem to watch as I go baseline for an easy bucket.

I've played two games online against different friends that I frequently play NBA 2K7 against. The game seems to be much more choppy online too.

Sure. The atmosphere is there in spades, make no mistake about it. I just think that the fundamental gameplay is not there when compared to NBA 2K7.

I felt the same way but I tweaked the CPU tendencies to drive and shoot the 3 and that has made the CPU work on its inside game.

While NBA 2k7 has more authenticity, the real NBA kills any fun for that title. I would say that NBA 2k7 is even less of a sim because it doesn't get the selfishness of the NBA right.

Change some sliders in the CH and I think you'll see a different game. I didn't really get into slider hell, I just changed the tendencies.

Is it possible to play a season, but let the CPU handle all the recruiting and other 'Legacy' stuff? Is there some auto setting for that in the game?

Is there anyone with the complete rosters who can copy them to my memory card if I mail it to you? I'm having a hellacious time trying to get the Datel XChange360 software to work. Action Replay was so incredibly simple.

Or perhaps if someone is willing to explain the process in simple terms, maybe just maybe I can figure it out. I don't know how, but I did manage to transfer the rosters over last year for 2K6.

Thanks.

I do believe you can set it up to where the assistant coaches will do the majority if not all of the recruiting. At least this was the case in previous years.

You've used it in the past? If so you should be good to go again. As long as you have the software installed and the drivers for the memory card installed it's very easy. All you have to do is make sure you download the 2k7 roster file from OS to the folder Datel uses to save images. Once you've done that plug in the memory card, start the software, and upload the image to your memory card.

Here's my question though. When I tried downloading it again yesterday from OS, the 2K7 roster folder showed up on the desktop zipped. Do I then need to copy that and place that in the 360 images folder? Do I need to unzip the folder? When I clicked on the zipped folder, it opens up to additional folders and files.

Just put the zipped file into the images folder. That should work.

Under "My Documents" there should be a folder titled "X360 Memcard Images". If it's not there already, create it.

- Download the roster file and place it in that folder.
- Connect your memory card docking station to a USB port on your PC
- Put your memory card in the docking station
- start Xchange 360 (i have a shortcut on my Desktop)
- Select the OS Roster file (it should now be highlighted in blue)
- Click "TO MEM" on the left side of the window (just above delete and edit)

Watch the status bar move ever so slowly to the right at the bottom of the screen.

Once done, place the mem card in your 360 and bring up the dashboard.

Go to memory and copy the file from your memory card to your HD and you should be all set. You won't even need to load the file from within the game. My OS Roster1 loads automatically upon bootup.
