my only concern is that I hope I can button out of the between pitch animations. It will add way to much time to each game. WEverything else is looking pretty good.

Yes, in the beginning it could be a case, much like The Show, where the presentation is SO good that you watch the cut scenes and other atmosphere enhancing additions. In the end however, without the ability to skip, all of the inbetweens could add up to a very long game.
I like what i seen so far. Batting(swings) looks better pitching(throwing the ball)looks tons better.Graphics looks really good from those vids .The only things i didn't like to much was the right field sliding catch and it seems to have the same bat to ball sounds of last year. But other than that things seem to be shaping up nicely
You guys are all way too exctied...we've been down this road before. When was the last 2k sports baseball game that was playable? It has been YEARS. Don't get your hopes up.
Again, looking good. I like the lineup card "thing". Pretty cool. Alot looks cleaned up from last year. This one comes out before MLB07: The Show (PS3) so I'll be getting this one first. Man, I hope we get a good one this year
Guy over at OS played the game at the CES show. Said the stadiums are beautiful but the part thats got me worried is he said the fielding still needs work. They still have time to work on this i hope they do cause what i seem so far from the vids out there i like it

The fielding could NOT be any worse than last year. That was the real killer for me. I think 2k7 is looking sweet.
Gamespot has some short new gameplay clips up...as well as some impressive looking screenshots. The picture of the Yankees' 2nd baseman (Cano) is just ridiculous. I also love the one of the Red Sox logo painted above the out of town scoreboard.

MVP was pretty shaky until 2005. MLB 2k4 wasn't terribly pretty, but it played a really solid game of baseball.
I agree that it's best not to get hopes up too much, but they have definitely grabbed my interest.

Exactly... and what's so wrong about getting excited about the only baseball game on the 360 this year?
I'm thinking, the game can't possibly get any worse.

Which is exactly why I'm picking up ANOTHER PS2 for this years games. I am fairly confident that MLB will be a sweet game, and MVP will again deliver a fun college experience....those along with a real Winning Eleven and another incarnation of Arena Football (hopefully better than last years) will satisfy me come February. Of course I'll pick up 2k7...but it's almost a given that it isn't going to be as good as MLB. I'd put A LOT of money on that.
I would definitely not expect 2k7 to be as good as The Show. But I just hope it's pretty good and not the buggy mess it's been for the last two years.
BTW, it is crazy how much PC copies of MVP 2005 are going for.
Yeah...baseball is about the only sport I'd do that for. It is the only genre I TRUELY love. And yes, I still have MVP 2005 for my PC...it's a classic.
As for 2k7, I am hoping it will be good, but I'm not planning on it. Fool me once... If they make a dramatic turnaround, it could finaly get me to buy a 360. Videos look impressive, but if the pitcher bats in the cleanup spot or the starters get pulled in the 5th inning of every game, then the pretty pictures are redered useless.
