I wouldn't care if I associated him with Ringling Bros., he'd be miles better than Mr. Sleepy-Tirico.

Absolutely. I've always been big fans of Jaws and Vermeil.
Yes yes yes...get Theismann off of My TV. He was the problem with sunday night for years.

I watched the seahawks game and it filled me with confidence...I think the big babies are still crying about their ass kicking last super bowl.
I think you're confused with the way you're still crying about Martz.

Much better. Though he didn't sound off that much, I'm not a big fan of Kornheiser (or any ESPN talk jock for that matter). Makes about as much sense as putting Dennis Miller or another non-football guy in the booth doing anything other than play by play.

Nessler DOES totally have the sound of college football, though. It'll take a while for me to get used to that. Jaws did a great job doing color commentary on the Bucs preseason games for years, so it's nice to see him get a shot outside of the studio. And Vermeil is just plain solid. Great coach who actually speaks coherently in the booth. I look forward to him second-guessing the league's coaches after he gets his feet wet again. I just remember the thinly-veiled coaching critiques he'd drop when he called UCLA games years ago for ABC.

Cool that was one of the upsets I picked.

Oh and Plexico scored some points for me.

If thats game of the year I'm a Chinaman. Ugly, ugly game on both sides. Neither team should have won.

It's bad when I'm rooting for Joey Harrington to enter the game. Dante looks terrible.

And damn...if Grossman keeps throwing for 4 tds a game, the Bears are gonna be TOUGH to beat...no matter who they are playing.

On the bright side for Texans fans, Mario Williams got close enough to touch Manning mid-way through the third quarter. With that offense of theirs, they definitely didn't need anything. Sheesh...

Seriously, both teams should have lost. The only reason I was happy is because I have Eli in one of my leagues. Even after the comeback the Giants were doing everything they could to knock themselves out of FG range...holding, run for a loss, false start.

Drama does not necessarily equal good football.

Nice win for my Bills, especially since Losman threw for only 83 yards.

The big question: Are Buffalo's defensive line and linebackers better than I thought, or is Miami's offensive line horrid? Seven sacks, including five in the first 15 plays? The Bills did harass Brady quite a bit last week, too, so I'm encouraged about the defense.

Not so sure about J.P., though. Damn inconsistent. Willis will need to continue to be a plow horse for the Bills' offense.

I hate the Dolphins, but that was a GREAT catch for the TD by Chambers. Full stretch, fantastic.

Take care,
PK

Miami's line is garbage. The Steelers had almost as many sacks last week. They just don't know what they are doing. They brought in a bunch of FA's and their starting center got hurt...it's patchwork at best. And yes, that catch was ridiculous.

For anyone that has DirecTV and the Superfan package...the Red Zone Channel is a must see for fantasy guys. They just flip to all of the games when there are scoring oppertunies or highlights...it's insane.

I'm on the fence with Superfan db. It pisses me off that they want another $99 on top of the regular $200 plus. Until the Browns get better I'm not to cool paying that extra coin.

It's only 50 bucks if you're a return subscriber of NFL Ticket...and it's the only way to get games in HD outside of the regularly scheduled telecasts in your region...so it's worth every penny to me.

Three in a row for 49ers over Rams.

Rams D is improved, it's just that they gave up a handful of big plays to the 49ers, who otherwise couldn't sustain many drives.

Meanwhile, Rams kept going for big plays and not connecting. Jackson could have gone for 200 yards the way he was running through or around the defense.

Yeah, I tried to get that deal but for some reason I could only get 50 off. Oh well...it's already paid for.
