Much better. Though he didn't sound off that much, I'm not a big fan of Kornheiser (or any ESPN talk jock for that matter). Makes about as much sense as putting Dennis Miller or another non-football guy in the booth doing anything other than play by play.Leebo33 wrote:Absolutely. Nessler DOES totally have the sound of college football, though. It'll take a while for me to get used to that. Jaws did a great job doing color commentary on the Bucs preseason games for years, so it's nice to see him get a shot outside of the studio. And Vermeil is just plain solid. Great coach who actually speaks coherently in the booth. I look forward to him second-guessing the league's coaches after he gets his feet wet again. I just remember the thinly-veiled coaching critiques he'd drop when he called UCLA games years ago for ABC.

Seriously, both teams should have lost. The only reason I was happy is because I have Eli in one of my leagues. Even after the comeback the Giants were doing everything they could to knock themselves out of FG range...holding, run for a loss, false start.Diablo25 wrote:If thats game of the year I'm a Chinaman. What a comeback by the Giants.

Nice win for my Bills, especially since Losman threw for only 83 yards.
The big question: Are Buffalo's defensive line and linebackers better than I thought, or is Miami's offensive line horrid? Seven sacks, including five in the first 15 plays? The Bills did harass Brady quite a bit last week, too, so I'm encouraged about the defense.
Not so sure about J.P., though. Damn inconsistent. Willis will need to continue to be a plow horse for the Bills' offense.
I hate the Dolphins, but that was a GREAT catch for the TD by Chambers. Full stretch, fantastic.
Take care,
PK

Well put. Still doesn't take the sting off my Birds giving it awayLeebo33 wrote:Seriously, both teams should have lost. The only reason I was happy is because I have Eli in one of my leagues. I'm on the fence with Superfan db. It pisses me off that they want another $99 on top of the regular $200 plus. Until the Browns get better I'm not to cool paying that extra coin.dbdynsty25 wrote:For anyone that has DirecTV and the Superfan package...the Red Zone Channel is a must see for fantasy guys. They just flip to all of the games when there are scoring oppertunies or highlights...it's insane.

Three in a row for 49ers over Rams.
Rams D is improved, it's just that they gave up a handful of big plays to the 49ers, who otherwise couldn't sustain many drives.
Meanwhile, Rams kept going for big plays and not connecting. Jackson could have gone for 200 yards the way he was running through or around the defense.
