This is a pretty good source for backgrounds. Some are better than others. Also, you have to see which UI you have. If you are in the preview, there is an extra menu for What's Trending that screws up some of the backgrounds. But many are including the longer menu now.
Personally, I'm using my Limbo achievement as a background. You can't tell what it is, but the misty, gray background goes well with grey tiles. Hopefully devs will begin taking backgrounds into consideration when making their achievement pics. Most just don't work. Trials actually has some good ones, because they are so basic.
I read somewhere that translucent tiles will be coming in a future update.

I was thinking about this but not sure. The library of free games I've already played or isn't that interesting to me. But if I get it for a month, do I still get to play the current year titles for 6 hours each? or is that with a full subscription. I wouldn't mind playing the current titles just to see how they are on XBO vs PS4.

how do you download these to the system?
You just need a USB drive and the Media Player. You might have to download the Media Player.
When you plug in the USB on the side of the console, start the media player, and it will allow you to look at the images saved on the USB drive, and while looking at them, you can choose to set it as your background.

I hate that place. On the one occasion I'd attempted to bring back something unopened without a receipt, the guy backed up with his hands in the air like I was transporting an ebola sample.
Our store has some nice people working there.. but the place is just weird to me and I'm not sure why.

Mizzu - u still have nhl for xb1?
If fh2 is the only game I buy for xb1, I'd be happy with that. Fun game for the whole family.
Yes I do.. at the all star break in my BeaGM mode with the Blues, played every game so far. I really like the gameplay quite a bit and can't go back to previous gen hockey anymore.
Added FIFA 15 and COD AW tonight in round 1 of Christmas with my dad's side of the family.

Just because the script kiddies are claiming responsibility doesn't mean they are actually responsible. Both services went down last Christmas day as well, once the dust settles we'll see if they actually had anything to do with it. I got a fit bit today guess what there site was down so I couldn't set it up, no hacker group involved.
How the FBI can't catch these guys considering they've sent in terror threats is beyond me.

Played the demo of Fibbage with my daughter, and embarrassingly lost but had a hilarious fun time. After much begging and pleading, my wife decided to play and absolutely loved it. Smart phones and tablets work extremely well, and for five games, it looks like a no brainer for $25. It'll make for a great party game for the upcoming holidays.
I played it on the PS4, but should be available as well on the Xbox One.
Got this last night as the family wanted to play a game. The 2 stand outs where drawful and fibbage we havnt laughed so hard together in quite some time.
If any of you have family or friends over and looking for a fun time Draw ful is worth the price on its own.
Brilliant game.
Thanks for the heads up Dan.

I have been playing NHL pick up games with idiots.
I wish it was down.
Yeah, it's been down for me the whole day including PSN. Damn frustrating but aside from not understanding why these no lifers do what they do, what I also don't get is how MS and Sony can't be better prepared for this type of crap especially when the hackers warned us all that this would happen today, two weeks ago.
Looks like XBL is offering free 6 hours of Madden until Jan 1st. Not sure how it works but will look into it once XBL is back up and running.

looks like xbl is up. you have to go to the store - games - and search madden 2014. click on madden 2014, not holiday edition. there is a ad on the store page that links to the game but when you click it, it will only give you the option of buying the holiday edition at 38.99 or something. will be nice to try out , compare to PS4,etc... probably don't need all 6 hours.
It may not just be a hack. My Comcast connections have been poor since Christmas Eve, sometimes taking minutes to load a page or even rendering emails. iPad games aren't connecting reliably either, though they're not completely out.
That said, this is the disadvantage of having one big gaming network, making one easy target to affect the largest number of people. Things were a lot simpler if all you wanted to do was play FIFA or Madden online on the PS2. The systems connected a lot faster and despite having more powerful systems now, it seems to take longer from the time you boot up, launch the game you want and try to log online with it.
And we have the privilege of paying for it.
Now if online gaming was more distributed, chances are EA would be hit as well by hackers since they're a big target. But at least you don't have to wait on PSN or XBL to get things up before you could log on to EA. BTW, the one iPad game I play all the time connects to Origin, EA's network. Like I said, that's been on and off but more due to Comcast and it hasn't been completely down like PSN.
Imagine if MS went with their original plans to have always-on console. You might have problems just playing single player games offline because you would have first had to have connected to XBL first.
