Re: Tiger Woods 14 thread, part II
Thanks for the update.
Don't see anything about the SP issues unfortunately. I also saw something that made me scratch my head. There are several fixed for play the pros. I have never seen any tournaments in their, or in country club tour. I only see our club and the live tourneys. Are there actual other tournaments and i am not seeing them?

Re: Tiger Woods 14 thread, part II
Here's some more specific information from Sean Wilson about the putting camera patch:
"So then it will look like the putting camera that is used exclusively in the Augusta Practice Facility? I haven't seen that myself, but r1mar reported that this was what he was seeing at all times when putting on the practice green at Augusta, in the Historic Edition."
And to the part (the annoying zoom back out at the finish of non-putting Follow cam shots) I didn't expect them to address, I said this:
"Oh, good to read that the zoom back to the point of the start of the shot from where it had finished has been fixed also. That will add some polish to the presentation!"
This is fixing more than I thought they'd be willing to change. I thought that zoom-out after finish was an artistic choice, but I'm glad to learn now that it really was a bug
Those of you who have the Historic Edition can go to the practice putting green at Augusta and see how this new Follow cam putting camera will work, in game, with any length putt. I'd like to hear from you if you try it and get your reaction to how it looks and feels on a 40 foot putt, for example.
I responded to that thusly:EA_SeanWilson wrote:The putting cam was a bit buggy in the demo, and there's also another bug where the camera will zoom back to the position where the ball was hit once the ball has stopped moving after the shot. That was fixed in the patch as well.
The new follow putting cam will look pretty much exactly what the current camera does when you make a 0-4 foot putt (approximately). There is very subtle jump slightly to the side, but the camera remains positioned behind the golfer.

Got it. Cost me $3 with my trade insDiablo25 wrote:Gonna grab it today for no cost with some trade ins.10spro wrote:You know you can't resist it. You're a golfer, Sim mode is a biiiaaatch but very realistic. There are issues that everyone is hoping will get solved in a patch and even then, some folks will whine a bit too. Not perfect but no video game is, put aside the camera angle issues and you got the best TW yet. The known issues are not a gamebreaker for me.Diablo25 wrote:I am still hedging on whether to grab this. Perhaps I'll wait and see reactions to the announced patch.

I didn't even know there was a practice facility, how does one access it?

I just played 9 holes with Dustin Johnson on a tweaked 'sim' mode. I put the zoom to view on and went with 'no beads' when putting. It's definitely a challenge but I like it.
Oh, and that putting camera is pure s***. What the hell were they thinking?

Just played Muirfield with Tiger. Sim mode....not going to post my score. Had a great time playing bad golf.
Love the game so far.

If there's a time in a year where I need a new controller, this is it.
Still loving sim though...

All,
I just spoke to Sean Wilson directly and he confirmed that they had found the issues with Career Mode scoring, cut line, and other stats issues and they are testing the fix to include in the upcoming patch....Once a fix is confirmed, it will be added to the official patch list.

I've skipped the last few TWs. I love this game. Playing on TOUR Pro with putt preview on for now & finding it to be perfect blend of hard, but not frustrating.

How do you add a photo to your hard drive (360) for 'game face'?

I'll piece together the process I used on this later.... it'll between or after NCAA games as I'll have to find links and instructions. It's worth the effort though!greggsand wrote:How do you add a photo to your hard drive (360) for 'game face'?

Those of you who haven't seen the buried putting cameras in the Historic Edition, check this out!

Prepare yourself for an epic feast for the eyes! Michael Amspaugh (cccgolfer08 ) has posted his video of the putting camera that I'm thinking we *might* be getting with the patch. I'm absolutely speachless after seeing it as it completely transforms the game into a much more visceral experience IMO!
I want you all to notice something in particular about this as you watch. In the lower right corner, the label "Follow Cam" appears for the first two or three putts, then the label "Broadcast Cam" appears for the last two or three putts. While I easily prefer both cameras in Mikey's video to what we now have for putting cameras in either presentation option, I prefer the Broadcast Cam over the Follow Cam, as seen in the video. If I was able to take what's called "Broadcast Cam" in Mikey's video, hit the "R" button to bump the swing camera height to 'head high" (which is how I play the entire game anyway), I think the putting camera it would yield would be pure nirvana!
I'm thinking about marching out right now and buying the Historic Edition, just so I can experience what *might* (hate to keep having to use that qualifier) be the "Game Changing" transformation - for OCD types like me anyway - this change could make!

Any of those camera angles would be just fine with me.....
Re: Tiger Woods 14 thread, part II
Have you tried these yourself? If so, can you change the swing camera height at the practice facility? I seem to recall last year that you couldn't.DivotMaker wrote:Any of those camera angles would be just fine with me.....

Re: Tiger Woods 14 thread, part II
Just looked at your question again and realized I misunderstood what you were asking. You're not wanting to load a photo to EA Sports My Player Hub for download, you're wanting to put the photo on your 360's hard drive? I don't know for sure how that's done, but I think you have to have a webcam attached to your 360, or use the Kinect to take the photo directly for it to be stored on your hard drive.greggsand wrote:How do you add a photo to your hard drive (360) for 'game face'?
If you want to use the My Player Hub route to do it, here's the link for info on how to do that. That's the route I took:

Re: Tiger Woods 14 thread, part II
Maybe a silly question but can you pick the time of day and weather yourself when you play or is it always picked for you dependent on where you play and at what time?
Also, there is a very good article about the Historic Edition in the April issue of Golf Digest for their Masters preview.

Is it just my setup, or is the game insanely "dark" on the rainy days(360)?? It's hard to even see the flag sometimes.
