The cpu claims another victim as the previously undefeated Ravens drop to 4-1 after a shocking and heartbreaking loss to the Cincinnati Bengals 18-14.
The Bengals got the ball first and ended up punting to the Ravens. The Ravens marched down the field, thanks to the running game, from the 31-yard-line and scored on a Willis McGahee run from 11 yards out. McGahee bowled over 4 Bengals defenders on his way for the score.
The Bengals went three-and-out and punted the ball back to the Ravens. The Ravens were pinned back inside of their ten but started moving the ball again when a pass to the fullback in the flats turned into a fumble and great field position for the Bengals. The Ravens defense stiffened up and held the Bengals to the field goal.
The Ravens got the ball back and proceeded to march down the field and score on a pass to Willis McGahee with 20 seconds left in the half. The score at half was 14-3 Ravens.
The Ravens got the ball to start the second half and they picked up right where they left off. At midfield McGahee fumbled the ball and the Bengals recovered. Coach Brady decided to challenge the play and was rewarded by an overturned call. The Ravens drive stalled out at the 25-yard-line and the Ravens had to settle for a 42-yard field goal attempt. The Ravens soon to be released kicker came up short. That's right, short. Not wide left, not wide right, and not even off the friggin' crossbar, but short even though the kicking meter was maxed out on the kick. The good news was the offense had eaten away most of the third quarter so it should be no problem to hold an 11-point lead against the lowly Bengals.
Well the Bengals marched down the field, scored, and converted the 2-point conversion to make it a 14-11 game with 6 minutes left to play. The Ravens offense started picking up first downs and milking the clock but eventually stalled out at the 42 yard line where they punted the ball.
The Bengals took over at their 14-yard line and proceeded to march down the field where they scored the go ahead touchdown making the score 18-14. The Ravens still had 2 timeouts and 50 seconds left but they failed to even pick up a first down and turned the ball over on downs to lose the game.
Those expecting highlights will be disappointed to find out that due to a postgame tirade by Coach Brady any and all game tape or evidence of what happened on the field was erased.

I am a patient boy.
I wait, I wait, I wait, I wait.
My time is water down a drain.

I thought the same thing when I lost to Seattle. The game looked and felt like it was on hyper speed.Nozzleman_216 wrote:I wanted to ask this after my last game against CPU and forgot, what is the speed of the game set to? It seems the game plays much faster than what it does in my offline franchise. Not complaining, just curious. I kind of like it and wondered if I needed to change my offline settings!
Colts reel off their first win. . .
Monday Night Football comes to DSP as Peyton Manning and the Colts humiliated the Titans by reeling off 21 unanswered second half points to get their first win of the year 28-17. . .
Highlighted by a 98 yard TD pass to Joseph Addai, the Colts baffled the Titans Defense in the second half as Tennessee's running game faltered and the passing game was worse with Kerry Collins throwing two INTs. . .
The win gets the Colts back into the race at 1-4 and brings the Titans back to the pack at 3-2. . .
Our attempt to bring you clips from "Nashville" were hampered by the fact that the Titans coaching staff left the stadium early, with all of the digital highlights and reportedly went straight to bed. . .
Next week the Titams travel to New England to face the Patriots and the Colts take a well deserved week off. . .

Seeing as I only have 1 victory, this might be a game for u to rejoice in! I have something to go to tonight, right after work. Not sure what time I will be back. How late would you be available to play? I am on CT as well.Danimal wrote:Pats owner do you feel like getting your 3 gift wraped Orton picks tonight?

Giants lose a game the should have won in the rain, 31-21 to the upstart Raiders.
In a game where the Giants would dominate possession, they were done in by settleing for field goals in the second and third quarters, while twice yielding long touchdowns, one in the air and one run by Darren McFadden. Still, the Giants would drive the length of the field for the second of Brandon Jacobs' TDs and the two point conversion to get within 3.
After holding the Raiders on the ensuing possession, the Giants would resume and seemed to be headed for at least a tie when their drive would stall just outside field goal range. A Feagles punt to the 8 would seem to put the Giants in good position, but McFadden would break a 50 yard run that seemed to deflate the Giants' sideline. Still the defense would hold and the Giants would get the ball back with 40 seconds to go.
It will go down in infamy as to what would follow. Inexplicably, Tom Coughlin's wife would obtain the freqeuency of his headset while a couple of children started wrestling over his shoulder. His bewildered expression was priceless as Eli Manning tossed a sideline bullet that was jumped by, fittingly, Nnamdi Asomugha and taken to the house for Oakland's second DTD.

Cards pick off the first throw from Matt Schaub, Warner tosses a lightning-quick strike to Fitzgerald to take a 7-0 lead over the Texans.
Andre Johnson got behind the secondary on a blitz and hauled in a huge 70+ yard bomb to draw even at 7-7.
After that, it was all downhill for the Texans, as they ended the day with 5 turnovers to 0 and lost 34-7. Antrell Rolle grabbed 3 INT's from the FS position.
Good game, Brando. That was a pretty tight contest except for the turnovers, and once the wheels started to come off, it all just falls apart. I have a feeling you're be getting much more competitive results here shortly!

The Vikings (me) and the Rams (XXXIV) were able to sneak in a game tonight. I would like to say that luck was involved in the win tonight, but it wasn't. The Vikings took control from the get-go and didn't let up. Leading 17-0 late in the 2nd quarter, Favre dropped back to pass:

After that, it was a matter of running out the clock. Here is an example of Adrian Peterson toying with the Rams defensive line:
<embed src="http://cdn.www.easports.com/static/110. ... player.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="640" height="360" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" flashvars="height=360&width=640&file=http://cdn.content.easports.com/media2/ ... ="></embed>
In the end, the Rams were able to sneak in some points in garbage time. Final score 31-6. Oh, and I'm just f***in around here. 34 was great and we had a good time. Sorry about the quick disconnect at the end of the game 34, I thought we would be able to keep chatting when I exited out of the game. Thanks for a good time tonight. Any time that Chris Kluwe is the game MVP, you know it was odd.

The sing-along songs'll be our scriptures.
Good game Badger. I enjoyed the blowout
EDIT: Dont take this the wrong way. Im not trying to rub it in or anything but the Rams can indeed score!

Guys, we have a problem....
Danimal and I played our game, and the Patriots defeated the Broncos 24-17. The problem is that the result is not showing, and therefore still has us scheduled with our records prior to the already completed game.
I don't know what can be done, but I'm hoping Danimal does.

I don't know what we can do, I sent a message to someone at EA but there is really no commish tools that allow me to do anything.
Game finished normal and I exited out fine. I saw you were in there for a while in the post game I assume getting highlights, did you exit out normally?

Well I'm going to guess the answer I get back is we have to replay or sim it. Chances are if we sim it I would think the Pats win.
I'll see if my EA contact gets back to me but I really doubt there is any other choice.
All you need is 2 options ofr the commish
1. Sim a single game
2. Reset a game.
I could keep simming until you won.

Jared's Dolphins handed my Jets a heaping helping of humble pie with a 17-7 victory at home in a matchup of undefeateds. The Jets were poised to score first, but a holding penalty on what would have been a 42-yard field goal knocked them just out of likely field goal range, and seemingly out of rhythm for much of the game.
Never having faced the Wildcat, the Jets gave up yardage left and right (including a 44-yard TD run by Ricky Williams) before catching on a bit as the game wore on. Still, 2 picks thrown by Sanchez and good ball control by the Fins that kept the Jets from seeing the ball at all from halftime until the 4th quarter (a case for longer quarters perhaps? the game took all of 50 minutes) left the Jets little hope for a comeback. Late completions to Harrison and Keller at least put the Jets on the board, but too little too late.
Good game Jared! I didn't capture any highlights, did you?
