Splashtop is 99 cents and Splashtop HD is 1.99.

Apparently that's 90% off regular prices. Now if I can forward the ports for them on the Airport Extreme router.

EA and gameloft games are on sale for 4S launch if anyone is interested.

I'm thinking of picking up and scribblenauts myself, though that's not in this sale. And in some crazy news, GTA3 is coming out for ios and Android. The full game.

I got scribblenauts last night. Amazing game! I didn't play it when it was on the consoles but damn it's fun.

Thanks for the heads up. I will have to hop on Civ Rev for $2. I think a Brothers in Arms game is free right now as well.

Dammit I bought that game last weekend. At least it was only $1 and I've already gotten my money's worth.

Finally an official gmail app, though it may be pulled at the moment due to bug. Of course it comes 1 week after I bought a gmail app for $1. Bad timing for me recently!

It's pretty poor. I actually prefer the built in mail exchange client on my iPad 2 at the moment. Not a big fan...slow being the biggest issue. It's nowhere near as good as the tablet version on Honeycomb. Hopefully they'll speed it up a bit...but supposedly the reason it was pulled is because of a notification bug. So that has nothing to do with speed. Oh well...better than nothing...maybe???

Edit: http://www.theverge.com/2011/11/2/25333 ... s-hands-on

Pretty much my thoughts.

I rarely log into Gmail through the browser, just read Gmail through the mail clients.

But I know people use Gmail with some extensions to get some other features. What exactly are those that you'd want to run a separate app. or log into the web site just for Gmail?

DrawRace2 is pretty darn awesome. Who would have thought that drawing a line with a finger would feel like driving a car! Braking points, nailing good driving lines, different car types with different feels (F1, rally, etc)

Most fun I'e had for $1 on this platform yet!

Well we will have a newer version in the spring...probably not the iPad 3 but something like the iPhone 4s...a placeholder until the true 3rd version next fall for Christmas. If you want a tablet now then yes its worth it. A much more well rounded device compared to the other options on the market.

It has changed the way I use (or don't use) computers. I use it every day and love it. Unbelievably convenient to use. A stable, superb device.

Absolutely love mine and use it way more than I should......my wife and kids will testify to that. It's just so convenient, easy on easy off. By far my favorite tech gadget to come along in the last several years.

I had previously bought Real Racing 2 on sale, and finally tried it.

Seeing the graphics and 16 cars on track was pretty shocking for an iOS game. The control felt really good too. I had auto-braking and auto-accel on, but the gameplay was surprisingly satisfying. Take a bad line and the game will slow you down, but you'll be dead in the water and get passed by a bunch of cars. I was playing on medium and it took me 5 tries to win the first race. Definitely more impressed with this game than the 2 NFS titles on iPad.

Also, Minecraft was finally released, but it's basically just PC creative mode (no crafting, no day/night, no animals/monsters, just block placing with unlimited resources) so I will pass on it.

Spot on - I was super-impressed by the quality and feature-set of RR2 and for only $4.99 as well!

Long-term, I don't know how the 3DS and Vita can compete when games like this are less than 1/5 the price (EDIT: topic for a different thread, I know).
