Whew! Yellow cross it was, indeed.
Though the game did something neither I nor Rob had ever seen before: DiCanio got injured and play went on as he laid there on the pitch. A big green exclamation mark came up in the top left corner of my screen. Then when play stopped, he was attended to, and the ref restarted play with a drop ball!

Yeah, that big exclamation point means KICK THE BALL OUT OF PLAY! If you do so, the game will let the other team throw the ball in back to you and their players won't attack, attack, the ball. It's pretty cool. And if you don't, eventually the ref will stop play and do the one-sided fari play srop ball deal.mobiggins wrote:Whew! Yellow cross it was, indeed.

I somehow saw this in the very first game of WE9 I played. Every time they seem to add more little deatails. I can't wait for the quick restart in WE10.
BTW guys, occasionally I may tend to try to update the stats of the teams and players in the league module. It would be best if goal scorers are noted in game reports here, as well as the final score and whatever bookings or injuries. That way, I can add in whatever gets lost, like for example if a player hasn't been entered yet for one team or another, or something like that.
Fenerbahce Lose Again, Despite Scoring Two
Fenerbahce lost to visiting Lazio last night to extend their hopelessness to new lows. Muzzi broke the ice within the first ten minutes, taking advantage of some poor marking in the back. But Fenerbahce were energized by witnessing NYRB dismantle Bayern Munich 4-2 eariler in the day at Giants Stadium, and Anelka (Aneuta) finally opened his Second Season account with a cannon blast from 30 yards out. Alex (Anekks) followed that with a picture-perfect free kick to make the score 2-1 heading into halftime.
But the second half was all Lazio. Goals came from Dabo, Pandev off of a free kick, and Muzzi again. Fenerbahce, despite creating plenty of chances, could not find the net again.
Final score: 4-2 Lazio.
No bookings, no injuries. Just more horror for Fenerbahce supporters.

Just a little reminder:
The deadline for second half games is Sunday, June 4. Please try to get your games in by then. It is unlikely we will have time to give extensions for this second half.
You can play games on your team's schedule page in any order. Just make sure that the correct team is the home team for each game, meaning if you do play two in a row against another team, you have to create a new game with the other guy hosting.

I can Wed, Thurs, or Friday night at 10PM EDT (possibly earlier if necessary, possibly later if I already have a game scheduled for that night). I think I've made a good effort to get my D3 games in, so if that doesn't work I'll just take the 0-0 draw, 3-0 win, or whatever Zeppo thinks is fair. Please PM me if you are interested in playing.
Anyone in the Premiership I have yet to finish either a first or second leg game with I am available today from 5-9pm Cst. Im scheduled with Mo at 6 so anytime before or after that slot.RobVarak wrote:I'm back from my short vacation. Anyone looking to play can catch me on AIM or shoot me a PM.

Muzzi 81'

A humdrum affair that most in the audience surely thought would end a nil-nil tie was broken open in the 81st minute on a through pass to Muzzi, who hesitated for a bit before burying the ball in the top of the net from the edge of the penalty box. Afterwards, Lazio girded their loins for the ensuing Wolfsburg attack, an attack that never mounted to any serious chances, but only left the german side's net open for the counterattack that came in injury time, as Pandev slotted home the insurance. Both teams had chances before the 81st minute, with Wolfsburg dominating possession most of the time, and nearly scoring on a free kick that hit the post.
Good stuff.

Fenerbahce Remain Winless; Draw to Middlesbrough, Monaco
Fenerbahce all but sealed their relegation fate with two draws last night, results which gave the cellar-dwellers 3 pts. with one game remaining in their season.
With Middlesbrough visiting, the home side got off to a quick start, taking a 2-1 lead into the half time locker room off of goals from Marco Aurelio (Man Altonio) and Tuncay (Talcami). Hasslebaink, the Middlesbrough goal scorer in the first stanza, ended the scoring with the equalizer in the second half. There were no injuries and no bookings.
Fenerbahce was desparate for a result away to AS Monaco, but they could do no better than a draw. After a first half goal from Meriem put the hosts ahead, the Turkish side scored a goal early in the second half off of a corner kick, a beautifully bending inswinger from Alex (Anekks) that somehow found its way to the foot of Anelka (Aneuta) who volleyed it firmly into the back of the net. Once again, Fenerbahce could not find a winner and went away disappointed. Fabio Luciano, the Fenerbahce defender, received a yellow card in the second half.
With only one game left, the Turks can only achieve 6pts in the standings. AS Monaco stands above them with 5pts, but have five more games remaining in the season. With a -15 goal difference, Fenerbahce will need a miracle to survive.

Good Game squid, I hated losing it on that penalty kick, but thats what I get for madly bashing buttons.
I have no idea who else I am suppose to play, I can't make heads or tails out of that module. But I am around all week after 9:30 CST.

Maybe the PM I sent you on 5/17 and the XBL message I sent you last week should give you a slight clue that I am on your scheduleDanimal wrote:I have no idea who else I am suppose to play

I can play Friday at 9:30 CT if that works for you (we need to get both games in). Friday is pretty much the last night I can guarantee my availability as Saturday is my anniversary and Sunday is the last weekend day to study before a test I have coming up next weekend.
Zlax, I can pretty much play anytime on Friday either before or right after my matches with Danimal.
In a pinch, I could also play matches on Saturday morning.

First of all I don't appreciate the tone, since I responded to both of those messages sayng I couldn't play at those times. I'm 95% sure I can play Friday evening at 9:30. So we can play both games then.Leebo33 wrote: Maybe the PM I sent you on 5/17 and the XBL message I sent you last week should give you a slight clue that I am on your schedule![]()

Well, I'm sorry. I didn't realize you were so sensitive. I thought the two smiley faces would indicate tone. I was just poking a little fun because I can't possibly understand how you don't know I am one of your opponents based on our correspondence.Danimal wrote:First of all I don't appreciate the tone, since I responded to both of those messages sayng I couldn't play at those times. I sent you a PM, I offered in this thread to play you any night on the week of May 22nd based on your post on the 21st, I sent you an invite on a night you said "I will probably be on tonight if I can get my wife to watch idol on another TV." I'm seriously not pissed or upset (refer to above smileys). If you are there at 9:30 CT on Friday I'll play you and have fun and if you aren't online then I'll take the loss or 0-0 tie....whatever Zeppo decides. It's really no big deal.
If we get to the end and if my forfeit win is the only thing deciding who gets promoted, I'd be willing to erase the forfeit win and decide it on the pitch (where I will almost certainly get crushed...LOL) as long as that's OK with Zeppo.fsquid wrote:I need Bayern to lose every single game from here on out to gain promotion while winning my last one!
My bad...Had some job interviews in the last two days...DO you have any time tonight like at 11:00 pm EST??
