It's some software that allows you to make highlight reels for your NBA 2k7 game. Adding music, graphics, effects, etc.bdunn13 wrote:Umm.. pardon my ignorance but what the hell is reel maker?Danimal wrote:NBA2K7 Reel maker is out for 400 points. I'm curious what people think of this price in light of the EA rip off content yesterday?
I'm going to get it and I don't feel like I am getting taken, but I can't figure out why I'm not upset about this.
And Slumber...who cares if it is unlocking something on the disc? What makes that different than if it's a BIG download and it's just software that they didn't put on the disc during development?

It is explained in the game if you choose that option. basically you can take save replays and splice them together into a video. However having read more on it, there are some very crappy limits.bdunn13 wrote:Umm.. pardon my ignorance but what the hell is reel maker?Danimal wrote:NBA2K7 Reel maker is out for 400 points. All the highlights need to be the same 2 teams in the same arena, so no making a hihglight reel of your season or of different teams. Also while the preview alludes that you can save them and download for viewing, as if off the web. apparently it only works from within the 360 and only if you have this add-on.
I thought it was going to be upload to a web page, and then anyone could download as a QT file or something.
IMO it is a good idea, gone bad with execution and I'm not sure i will get it now.

I want to preserve the naive hope that Marketplace content is for supplementary content produced after the normal development cycle, and not features developed with the game but simply withheld to generate extra revenues on already expensive games. If it's already on the disc, that clearly puts it in the second category.

Yep, clocking in at 916.15 MB. Not exactly whizzing along, either. Looks like it's gonna be about an hour download.GTHobbes wrote:According to some guys posting over at OS, the Tiger Woods demo is up.

I think the Demo of TW07 is awesome. They have improved the graphics and the atmosphere quite a bit. Just look at the gallery when you're about to shoot...the official puts the quiet sign up, and all of the people actually stop clapping and settle down...some even walk around and go from hole to hole. I don't remember any of that happening last . The fact that they doubled the amount of courses certainly doesn't hurt.

IMO, it's worth the wait. I love it. I wish they'd let you use someone other than Tiger, as that's not a really good gauge as to the difficulty level, but it just 'feels' like it just might be for real this time around. I didn't see anything goofy, and the replay for 'great' tee shots is much more subdued, with no more of the 'exploding golf ball' schtik that made me roll my eyes before.
I think I'm going to purchase it, now that I've played a little...

I'm probably very late to the party with this, but I finally discovered how to connect my Mac to my 360 so I can stream music and photos (no video though), thanks to a little ditty called 'Connect360:'

Pretty nifty. Now I'm just barely starting to realize how freaking awesome the music options are for this machine. Having tunes play as you switch games, go right on into a game with some tunes playing, etc. etc. The only thing is it's sometimes tough to get the mix just right, but wow it's nice to have my whole iTunes library ready to go on the 360. And then to realize my digital camera isn't really that bad when you see the pics nice and big on the HD display.

Oh it is. Last years version had huge differences between difficulty levels. Don't worry about that...and supposedly they made it harder this year. Last year was tough on the hardest setting.Spooky wrote:I'm just not feelin' the Tiger demo. I was able to shoot par on 2 different holes without aiming or changing anything. Agreed. The Windows Media Center options are even better. I love recording TV on my PC and then accessing it in the living room on my 360Zeppo wrote:I'm probably very late to the party with this, but I finally discovered how to connect my Mac to my 360 so I can stream music and photos (no video though), thanks to a little ditty called 'Connect360:'

I don't know. Last year when you ramped up the difficulty only the puting got harder IMO. I still hit 90-95% of all fairways without any effort. I hope that changes. I want the driving and short game to be more sensitive soemhow.dbdynsty25 wrote:Oh it is. Last years version had huge differences between difficulty levels. Awesome. Thanks Zeppo! I had not heard of this. (so I guess I am even later to the party)Zeppo wrote:I'm probably very late to the party with this, but I finally discovered how to connect my Mac to my 360 so I can stream music and photos (no video though), thanks to a little ditty called 'Connect360:'

Actually, upgrading the music player is my No. 1 wish for the next dashboard update. I stream music constantly, but the awkward interface, inability to easily import playlists and general clunkiness of the thing drive me mad.Zeppo wrote:

Glad to see you have it up and running now, though. And pics do look good on the TV

Thanks Zeppo! I had no idea something like this exisited for the Mac. I see that we're only limited to 100 songs and 100 pictures, correct? If that's the case, is there a way to put what pictures and songs on the 360?Zeppo wrote:I'm probably very late to the party with this, but I finally discovered how to connect my Mac to my 360 so I can stream music and photos (no video though), thanks to a little ditty called 'Connect360:'

If you "register" for $20 it unlocks the 10 song/picture restriction. Not sure if I'd use it enough to warrant the $20.sportdan30 wrote:Thanks Zeppo! Diablo, How is this done? I have videos on my PC that I would love to watch on my living room TV/360. How do I do this? I know I need Windows Media Center, but I thought the 360 can only access pictures and music. I didnt know you could access video files also!
