I'm not much of an NBA fan, but I'd love to see Dallas win this one tonight.

I wanted to see Miami win it for obvious reasons until LeBonehead started getting classless and clueless. With 7 minutes left and a 10 point lead it's looking really good for Dallas. So much for the 11-0 series win for whoever wins Game 3 in this playoff format.

I won't feel bad if Dirk wins his first title.

If I know the WWE, errr, i mean the NBA at all, Miami will erase this 12 point deficit over the final 8 minutes to force a pivotal retirement match at Wrestlemania. Dammit, slipped again. I meant game 7.

But I hope I'm wrong and Dallas wins.

Rod - is that what most heat fans are feeling too? Just that LeBron and crew have been just jerks they don't really deserve a title? So far LeBron is either passing or throwing away easy layups.

Ya I think this is Dirk's last chance, Heat will get many more chances in the next 4 years.

Yup, LeChoke !

He started the classless thing by purposely celebrating in front of the Dallas bench in Game 2 when they went up by 15 late in the 4th. Then he does the coughing skit with D-Wade before Game 5. They freaking deserve to lose. I want to see Dirk rub it in his face. Since he has more class than them he won't.

Did LeQuit just walk away after the buzzer without shaking anyone's hands?

One thing he has to learn is to make his game better and be a leader. The East is the Heat's for the next 2-3 years. Will they learn to win one? But they did get to the finals.

btw...where the hell is dirk? lol

Congrats to any Mavs fans on DSP !

The Miami Herald will be in melt down mode for the next 6 months. I'll expect everything from blow up the team to fire the Coach. One thing that has always irked me about LeBonehead is his pregame ritual

This may sound crazy now but don't be surprised if the Miami head coach next year is Phil Jackson.

Not if Pat Riley has anything to do with it. Spo is Rileys hand picked boy. Spo did a good job it's just a case of the inmates running the asylum. Don't be surprised if the Heat get blown up next year if there's a new hard cap imposed or they decide to trade LeBone and or Bosh for someone like Blake Griffin. The only future HOF and Superstar on this team is D-Wade.

Kazuya is the only real Mavs fan on here and I can't remember the last time he posted.

Told you guys mavs had the slight edge. Wife is not happy. :-)

And yes lebron congratulated them. He just split quick.

No matter what happens in the next 4-5 years, I can never put Lebron in the same category as Jordan, Magic or Bird. They would have taken over many of those games. The ball seemed to leave his hands awfully quick every time he touched it in the 4th quarter. It was like a hot potato.

He is a very athletic player but he hasn't seem to utilize any other skills other then dunking and a jump shot. He would be deadly in the post with a fadeaway jumper, baby hook, etc.....UNSTOPPABLE. He would rather play on the perimeter.

I think bringing LeBone to the Heat was a bad bad move. D-Wade has always shown himself to be a class guy but LeBone goes around and acts immature a lot of the time maybe due to his Star status and it rubs off on the team.

This series may have gone in a different direction if he had not started the early celebrations and got his buddy D-Wade to go along with it in Game 2 which just pissed off the Mavs and gave them even more motivation to kick their @ss.

Then Cough-Gate followed. I'm glad he's crying now, go back and watch the tapes LeBone and see how you pissed off the other team and just quit when the pressure got to you.

After watching this disaster unfold I don't think the Heat will win a Championship with this crew. They are too self centered and Wade is getting older.

Yes that is a great point. Simmons says the same thing. If he ever learned a post up move, he would be unstoppable. But it's his 8th year in the league and he refuses to make his game into the upper echelon.

Well, this is the worst lineup (talent-wise) the heat will have over the next 4 years. I didn't expect them to win it all this year, but I wouldn't be surprised to see them in the finals again next year.

That was one of the most passive immediate post-championship celebrations I've ever seen. I've seen more energetic revelry after big regular-season victories.

I know winning a title on the road never produces a title celebration that resembles an eruption. But between Dirk heading straight to the locker room and the rest of the guys embracing like they just beat Golden State on the road in February, that was pretty bizarre.

Quite anticlimactic for such an exciting NBA Playoffs.

ESPN post game was great. Magic, Barry, Wilbon totally ripping on LeQuit. Even Barry insulting him by asking 'did he ever go to college?' in jest when the subject about LeQuit will ever make himself learn some useable skills, not just running up and down the court and dunking. Catch it on the reply or on the site, just great stuff.

Ask, and you shall receive.

Needless to say, I was on the ground like the iconic Jordan crying scene (though I was clutching the coffee table leg, not a trophy). Just an unbelievable season from a team that just wouldn't give up. I think most of the fans knew this team was special with the 24-5 start, but that with the Butler and Beaubois injuries we lost that chance to do something special. So to win the whole thing when most Mavs fans (whether they admit it or not) had serious reservations about them surviving the first round... it's just a great feeling.
