I don't listen to the radio so I couldn't tell you. Check out the iaudiophile.net forums for all the ways you can customize the crap out of the thing. It really is a versatile device that you can tailor to your listening needs. Cowon is awesome like that.

I'll check out that website. Question how do you customize your music list? I transfered over a bunch of mp3's and it had artist and name of the song. On the Cowon all I see is track 1 etc. and I even get multiple track numbers. If I mount Cowon i'll see the artist etc in the Windows directory.

Its probably because you don't have your mp3s aren't tagged correctly with the album/artist/track information.

You download a program called Media Monkey:

http://www.mediamonkey.com/

From there, you look at your music collection through the built in browser (this is all on your PC BTW) and you can edit the track/album/artist information inside of Media Monkey. That way, when you transfer it to the Cowon, it'll display said track information.

I ordered the NuForce so I can compare them to the J3 earbuds I have. I'm skeptical that earbuds can make that much difference but since you recommended the Cowon J3 i'm willing to give them a shot. :)

You'll be surprised how much of a difference there are between earbuds. Just head over to head-fi.org for proof. An entire community based on listening to the smallest differences that are not noticeable to the human ear. LOL...some of those dudes are hardcore.

No idea. It's a music player, which is all I use it for. I'm sure there are some because it's a flash based player, but never investigated. Go to those forums I linked before.

Hey DB i'm having trouble figuring this out. Do I need to import those mp3 songs into mediamonkey first, then edit those songs within mediamonkey? I have songs on a dvd that's why i'm asking if I could just have mediamonkey scan the dvd instead.

Oh my NuForce earbuds arrived today. :)

The mp3s need to be on a writeable drive (hard drive, thumb drive etc) because when you edit them in media monkey, you're changing their embedded data (the data that is read by the J3). So it can't be on media that can't be written to (DVDs/CDs).

Thanks DB that did the trick although it's a pain in the @ss. :)

I'm having trouble getting mediamonkey to recognize concert videos in .avi form. Any ideas to go about that? FYI i'm doing add/scan tracks from your library. I put the video in my video folder in Windows 7.

I've kind of figured things out on my own using Mediamonkey. The videos became a non-issue because it displays the title of the file and and has the image of the file ala Windows Media Player preview tile.

I even got the album cover showing up. The only issue i've run into is I can't figure out why Mediamonkey recognized certain tracks of a particular album as [unknown]? :?

I guess i'll never know the answer to that one. :)

Have you checked to see if the individual files' ID3 tags are intact and accurate?

Use the freedb link in the Tag Sources pulldown menu in Mp3tag to tag your tunes with a click or two. No typing! :)
