I'll have to listen to the game or use an app since daughter has a bball tournament tonight. Every game the Hawks won I watched from my basement, all their losses I watched somewhere else.

Sorry Chicago, family before hockey.

Well, while you're hoping for recent history breakers, I'm doing the same. Ducks led 3-2 over the Wings 3 years ago, lost it in game 7. Led 3-2 over the Kings 2 years ago, lost it in game 7. Led 3-2 over the Hawks last year, lost it in game 7.

Lead 3-2 over the Preds tonight...God I hope history finally stops repeating itself. They've been getting outplayed pretty heavily through a lot of this series, but game 5 was the biggest example I'd seen. Andersen is standing on his head and the only reason they're even in the game, when it's 0-0 midway through the second. Then I blink and 3 goals have been scored.

When the Ducks get their forecheck going, they can grind the crap out of teams, but Nashville has done a very good job of neutralizing that for long stretches through a lot of the series, even if they lost the past 3.

Tonight should be a stressful evening.

If you go by momentum, CHI has all of it and common sense will tell you that with their experience they can complete the amazing come back tonight. I thought honestly that they were done when they were done 1-3 last game in the first period. If the Blues want to advance they gotta keep pounding with their bigger men, which I thought they stopped doing a bit in the last couple of games. If they choke this one tonight, I don't see how Hitch can continue on, a move I thought it should have been done last season. I don't get why he doesn't give his best skilled guy more minutes. Tarasenko is a game breaker, yes maybe the coach wants him to be more responsible defensively but you also gotta to get him more involved with the man advantage. I think CHI's D is a bit taxed and if Elliot can play as well as he did early in the series, the Blues can finally take the monkey off their back tonight.

Having said that, with Dale Weise back in the lineup the last couple of games, the fourth line is starting to click for the Hawks, and Shaw played his best game yet after his suspension. It should be a beauty tonight.

Feel bad for the Panthers. They were robbed by the refs last night with a no last minute call, then they miss an open netter and the rest is history. Luongo was huge yesterday.

I think the Ducks can advance to the next round this time if they can avoid their poor starts. With the goaltender situation finally solved, if everyone plays up to their potential, I see them in the conference finals. Don't let the final score in the last game fool you though, the game was much closer than that.

You know your hockey 10..... I agree with your post, all of it.

Hitch likes to think too much, tweak too much, etc.. You don't see Q do that with his team, he always has his top players out there in crucial moments, win and lose with his best, he did the same when he coached the Blues. I say this Blues team is different, but if they poop the bed tonight, they will be just another Blues team. (and I love them all)

I'm still confident we win tonight, but I'm sure the Hawks fans have the same feeling and they should.

Go with your best tonight Hitch, no matter what. Let your best players dictate the outcome and quit trying to play super coach. :)

Hell yes it was much closer than that. And they were THOROUGHLY outplayed for more than a period. That's what hasn't been sitting well with me in this series. When they're on, they can smother. But they've only been "on" for about 30% of the series, it seems. The rest of the time they're in their own end, turning it over, or playing completely undisciplined.

Another two goal dissapearnce. This is it for Blues. If you're mentally weak after they tied it up, you'll never win G7. You've been physical as you should and CHI's D is feeling the pressure. Here is when the Hakws should go for the kill. Just a tough break for Bouwmeester but keep playing the same way.

Well, I think they advanced only once in 12 years. It reminds me so much of the Canucks-Hawks series back in 10-11. Hawks keep coming back until Burrows slayed the Dragon finally in OT. Up to that point they owned VAN in previous years. That was some rivalry too.

It's all mental now for the home team, you can't let that old perception (but true reality) affect you. Getting a bit ahead but I do see this one going to OT easily.

Gratz Blues fans, it was damn close but you were the better team after 7. Pietrangelo was the D. Keith for the home team tonight. Good fight to the end for CHI, but the D was gassed.

Congrats Blues and their fans. Hawks missed some open opportunities and that last one bouncing off both posts, just was the Blues night.

Frustrating. The Gustafsson t.o. leading to the Brouwer goal was a gut punch, as was Seabrook going post-to-post. So close.

Good luck, guys.
