Nagy out-coached McVay, but I can't believe we're getting "he should've given the ball to Gurley more" takes in 2018. This is a fossilized idea from the days when running the ball on 80% of the plays was thought to eventually wear down a defense, even though this idea has been proven false for decades.

The real mistake by McVay, and one he wouldn't make again in a playoff match-up, was not relying on 3-step drop, quick hitters. The Bears have struggled with that part of the passing game all year, giving up an inordinate number of big plays with silly YAC numbers, even as their pass rush was neutralized.

The way that Bears front 7 were playing, it may not have worked, but it makes more sense than trying to do more of the thing that already wasn't working.

Well for a rare occasion I'm going to disagree with you here.

First I believe the rule says a player can't touch another player and use him as leverage and it is also a judgement call. To me it looks like Wagner already made the jump and put his hand on the players as he was coming over. I didn't see it as a use of leverage, just more maintaining balance.

The real issue here is the Vikings have made a bad decision in going with Cousins and their HC is one of the most over rated in the league IMO.

Goff has been on a downhill slide lately. He was terrible against the Lions. The Lions dropped two easy pick six's. McVay switched to the run in the 4th qtr to put the game away.

To be fair with Cousins it wasn’t his worst game by any stretch. The receiving core was brutal dropping easy passes that would have made their 3rd down conversion more respectable. Credit to the Hawks D though, when you have people breathing by your neck, you do tend to think about the next step even before catching the ball.

To be honest Wilson had an off night too but he did make some impressive runs.

Yesterday I was in a $1,000,000 Draft Kings tournament with a $150,000 first prize. Long story short, I had every single player the guy who won the 150K had except he had Deshawn Watson and I had B Mayfield. If Deshawn has the same game he had but Mayfield throws a TD to Landry I would have been near the top of the money list. Probably not the 150K but I would have won thousands. Instead I won $15
