same here. looks interesting on the previews. Has excellent credentials too.

HBO rarely does anything that's not pretty damn good.

I agree. They killed that show. They took a great premise (Vampires trying to peacefully coexist in regular society without needing "real" blood) and if only they stuck to that idea, it would have been a great show. They had to add fairies, wolves, coyote people, shape shifters, witches, etc, etc, untill it became so stupid I couldn't watch anymore. Talk about a show completely going into the toliet!

p.s. On a related note...I used to think Anna Paquin was sexy, but now I just find her quite unappealing. Her looks seem to fade with the series....

On the other hand, this one remains hotter than ever:

It's a 6 part series game, first part to be released before the end of this year, you play as characters from House Forrester who are loyal to the Starks. Very cool that some of the actors from the HBO show are in the game. Lots more info at polygon.com:

Released today on PS4 and PC, I guess it's tomorrow or something on XBox.

Played the first 30 or 40 minutes of it. Feels very much like watching an episode from the show. A couple times I made a quick decision because of that bloody "response timer", and instantly regretted it. It feels like the time allowed to choose a response is quicker, forcing some hasty decisions.

Really liked what I played of it so far.

Good to hear, was hoping it would be out on the Xbone today, oh well one more day.

I played through the entire thing as if it were an episode of the show, as that's what it felt like. My wife had her ideas on what she thought I should do, but each time they prompt you for a response, it feels like so much pressure. You start parlaying with personalities that you KNOW are venomous snakes, and every answer you choose seems to be the wrong one.

By the time the credits rolled, I stood there slack-jawed in a "HOLY SH*T!!!!" face, not quite believing what I just witnessed. Whether it's just the illusion of choice or truly branches the story much remains to be seen on a second play through, but I felt firmly convinced that if I ran a noble house in Westeros, I would run it into the ground within a month.

Only played through 2 characters so far and it does play like an episode of the show, pretty well voice acted and I haven't run into any of the main characters from the tv show yet. I did get killed once hitting the wrong button on one of the quick time event fights.

I just read a story yesterday that said since the next book is not coming out in 2015 and who knows if it will in 2016 that the show runners are going to be caught up by the end of this season unless they stretch it. This will present an interesting situation with the show.
