LOL...that's funny you say that. Most Android users love the notification system with the little icon in the bar on the top...myself included. Non-intrusive notification system. But Bandit is right...if you want the iPhone like notifications, Handcent is outstanding. You'll be good with that.Spooky wrote:ATTN Droid users:
Can anyone tell me the way to get better notifications of incoming texts/emails?
Is there a way to enhance the notification system to be similar to the iPhone's? There does not seem to be any type of 'pop up' message when a text comes in. Is there a setting or app that can do that?
Thanks in advance!

Depends how big it really is. By them adding 720p video and mobile wifi hot spot to the Incredible...there isn't really any compelling reason to get the X. I can get it for free if I want it (cuz my dad wants my Incredible) and he's eligible for an upgrade, so once I see it in person, I'll decide. I doubt it. The Incredible is pretty much the ideal phone when it comes to performance and size. Not sure I want to carry around a huge phone, and by all accounts it is pretty f'n big.Darkbandit wrote:Ok..so by show of hands whoever has Verizon is getting the Droid X?

By the way i'm 30 plus days into my Evo 4G...absolutely amazing device. It will be hard for me to go back to a smaller display if that day ever comes. I love the large display on this thing. Planning on upgrading my wife's phone to the 4G Samsung Epic as soon as it hits the market here in a month or so.
I would say if you are on the fence regarding an Android based phone, give it a shot!

A couple absolutely BADASS Android phones coming out today and another on Sunday.
Today:
T-Mobile Samsung Vibrant (a Galaxy S phone)
Verizon Motorola Droid X (should have mine tomorrow)
And Sunday:
At&t Samsung Captivate (a Galaxy S phone)
Each of them offer a 4+ inch screen, 1ghz processors and a sh*tload of Android power. Holy crap I've got half a woody right now.

I've got the Incredible still. I'll have the X tomorrow. If it surpasses the Incredible, I'll just sell it. I have a sneaking suspicion that I will end up keeping the Inc. I'm just afraid of the size of the X. We'll see...I'll do my usual comparison before deciding. The Incredible is awesome...I just wouldn't be doing my duty if I didn't try out each of the phones that come out.Slumberland wrote:DB, I thought you were down on X and up on Incredible? Or am I not remembering correctly. I'm still waiting for my backordered Incredible but I hear Verizon will let me switch the order for the X.
