Wish there were replays, as just hearing both of you run down to that finish was awesome.
The difference in strengths between the two cars made the race even better. Naples' Infiniti was far faster than my 1980s Audi Quattro on the straights and fast sweepers, but I ate him alive in the tight twisties with my four-wheel drive. We ended up swapping the lead like a teeter-totter in full motion.

Fantastic.

Twas a fun race. It's fun racing with someone always in view, sometimes in front and sometimes behind. After PKs car was a dog on the opening stretch, he caught up pretty quickly in the turns. Then he blew the bridge turn, but I got comfortable and slow and he got up again quite quickly.

Coming out if the final turn PK had a car length or so on me, but the final straight was just barely long enough for me to catch him. Of course PK was a gentlemen and attempted no blocking.

Also, as I said online, I took a few minutes and have a car I like auto-tweaked and painted for each class. It makes me feel very official, and I suggest others do the same.

Sounds like our epic battle on the nordschleife way back when, maybe Toca Was it or the first Forza. Any way it was like your Suburu against my VW golf , went down to the last 10 meters, remember i backed off as i knew i didnt have the top end and got a draft but couldnt pull it off . photo finish

Sounds fun lads.

Got this yesterday. I've already done over 200 miles, most of those just cruising around looking for barn finds and discount signs. Incredibly hard to put down.

In racing, I've only really done a few of the Showdown events and the occasional challenge of a rival driver I've encountered while driving through Colorado. I've only done the Mustang, hot air balloon and Mini races so far - worryingly, despite the balloon race being the only one where I felt I had a decent handle on the car, that's the one I'm weakest at, suggesting I go faster when I don't know what I'm doing. Even more worryingly, in the Mustang event, the quickest DSPer on my Friends list is XXXIV.

XXXIV. Don't just bloody sit there, do something.

When are you fellas online with this? Or, perhaps more usefully, when aren't you?

Usually somewhere between 11 p.m.-2 a.m. (ET). Or 4-7 a.m. Blighty time.

Get up early or pound the caffeine. Terry needs a bit of a workout, matey.

So you need to get more than one DSPer on your list obviously.

I think Teal and I gave him a bit of a workout on our last Goliath run this weekend.

Horizon won't die. Just an intermission for the BF3 revival.

This game won't leave my online or offline rotation any time soon.

Good! I just got this from UPS last night because I've been spending so much time racing on the Xbox lately. I ordered them that night when we discussed it briefly, but they take forever to ship from Germany, apparently

But I inverted the clutch and brake so the pedals are like this:

Was able to start running times with Manual Tranny and Clutch. Destroyed every previous Rival Time I tried last night, then hopped into a room with *gasp* randoms! With a load cell brake and clutch+H-pattern shifter, Forza 4 and Horizon are pretty much a whole new experience.

Yeah, I accepted your Club request last night, so you should be able to use the Club Garage online and run rival times against Friends & Club if you're into that. Also accepted Dale from OS (RustedWalleye on XBL). Blast from the past, there!!!!

It definitely changes the game, Jimmy. Like a whole different title, honestly. Didn't think it would be as drastic as it is, but there you have it.

And squid, I didn't actually play anything with him, so I don't know. Just accepted the invite request in the messages lol

Might be old news and I missed it in this thread if it was mentioned, but there's a rally expansion coming out in a few weeks (December 18th). 20 bucks.

Yeah, guys were talking about it before but it's buried in the 16 pages of the thread. Hope it's a decent alternative to Dirt.

The Windtunnel Showcase against the chopper felt like something out of an 70s action movie, very cool.
