Someone posted an Ebay link last night on CAG. There was an Ebayer who sold 10 of the 16GB for $47 each with free shipping.

It looks like $99 is the new official price, but every place is sold out now. I'm gonna be on the lookout for on at that price. It may have no apps, but it's a decent piece of hardware and even if it just does internet (with flash), email, e-reader, video, etc, $99 is a great price for that.

Struck out everywhere.

Only stores that had them during the day was RadioShack (all stores had a ton) since their prices weren't updated.

Now I call and magically ALL of the RS stores I went to are sold out.

I call BS, employees are buying them.

Yo fellas I just read this on CAG. If you order the HP TouchPad online at the BB website. They will refund the difference when you pickup the unit. Apparently word hitting CAG is that corporate decided to start selling them at the new price as HP will cover the difference with BB.

I just ordered one on their website at full price and i'll go tomorrow to pick it up, that's if they don't cancel my order lol.

I've been monitoring the thread for this on hot deals and is total anarchy today. The thread now has almost 13,000 posts and 4 million views. Selling out everywhere, though surely tons of people lookng to flip them.

I'm not going to be driving around hunting this deal, but if I can find an online order I will do it.

I was telling Rodster that in Canada things are so messed up with the Future Shop website and BB Canada that their checkouts are all screwed up. I was excited late last night that they were still some touchpads in stores and when I hit for the checkout page the site would guide you then to a shipping only option and even when you wanted it to be shipped, the following page would tell you that the deal is only at stores which of course it's all sold out in Vancouver.

Having said that I was lucky to score the 32GB version last night after several tries. Hope BB will honor their shipping option. But the response have been overwhelming as well north of the border.

Ironically, I just left Best Buy with an 16GB Touchpad.

They had around 10 of both version when the doors opened.

The store manager was very clear that ALL issues with the device had to be worked directly with HP. No refunds, no exchanges, no nada with Best Buy. Basically it's buy at your own risk.

Oh, and only 1 TP per customer.

Went to best buy after stocking up at Total Wine and there was a line of about 50 people outside waiting for the touchpads, lol. They apparently were handing out tickets early this morning so that people could come back later. Can't believe this many people want one of those things. I guess it's just so they can flip it on eBay. I do know a few guys who came out of the store offering them up for 200 bucks. Almost got one for the wife but passed. LOL. Mayhem.

I think our orders will go thru. I just checked the SMB website and they are now sold out. If you really want one you can order it on the Kmart website then you'll need to call CSR for a price adjustment. I'm sticking with HP and if I don't get it i'll just use the money towards either the next Samsung Galaxy Tab or an iPad 3.
