Agreed. But one of these days Barry Trotz just might get some credit from his peers for the great job he does with seemingly nothing every year in Nashville.10spro wrote:M. Crawford gets my vote for the J.Adams.

I don't know what was sicker: Henrik's tuck for the goal at full speed or Daniel's long saucer pass. I'll go with the saucer -- it was perfection.

Wow, the Sens lose 7-1 to the Habs. I cannot wait to pick up the paper off my front porch tomorrow. I have a feeling it will be entertaining reading while I have my coffee.

The Nashville organization is top-flight, from the coach on up. Nashville is a peculiar and small hockey market, yet somehow they are able to put out a profitable and competitive product on the ice most of the time. What Trotz does with very little star power at his disposal shows that great coaching can make a difference in the NHL even if you do not have a team loaded with big-name players. There are other examples aside from Trotz, but he seems to be doing it consistently.pk500 wrote:Agreed. As predicted, Nabokov was claimed by the Isles. He'll be traded again at the end of February.
Re: NHL 2010/2011 Season
The isles can't trade him. He'd must clear waivers again before the isles can move him anywhere. I wouldn't be shocked if he refuses to report, where the isles can let him rot or put him back on waivers.10spro wrote:As predicted, Nabokov was claimed by the Isles. Re: NHL 2010/2011 Season
I am sure G. Snow will avoid suspending him if he doesn't show up. Isles do have goaltending issues since Rolie was traded. This one is a tricky one to deal with as Nabby has a NMC too.Naples39 wrote:The isles can't trade him. He'd must clear waivers again before the isles can move him anywhere. Re: NHL 2010/2011 Season
Canucks lose another SO, this one controversial as the puck was stuck in Luongo's leg pads as his momentum crossed the goal line but the puck never showed and the zebras called it a no goal right away. However the brain brass in TO overturned the decision even though no puck was seen over the goal line to call it a legitimate goal. Video review has to be conclusive evidence and I just didn't see it here.
More concerning however is the PP that has gone dry and secondary scoring from the likes of Malhotra, Samuelsson, Raymond, and Tambellini. These guys are just struggling.
A lot of turnovers in the blue zone against the Flames, as the D continues to struggle and will continue to do so, as they lost K. Bieksa tonight when he was dropped by Kostopoulus in a fight.

Re: NHL 2010/2011 Season
After losing the last three games via SO, Canucks made sure there would be none of that crap tonight as they just simply destroyed the Stars at home. Well anticipated, this matchup meant a lot for both teams. DAL wanted to inch closer to VAN in the western conference and the 'Nucks just simply had to play better and get some confidence back after suffering some injuries lately.

Do those cups have openings with rubber seals on the bottom? I can't, for the life of me, envision how the hell that thing works, but it's quite cool.

Still need to check out one (or several) of the cups up close, thoughThe key is the use of a cup that features a hole at the bottom and small, circular magnet that rests over it. When placed on the system, the magnet is lifted up by the pressure-driven beer. The cup fills up until the weight of the liquid pushes the magnet back down over the hole. The cup can then be lifted off and the beer consumed as normal.
What traditionally takes a single worker concentrating on the pour -- which still produces spillage and waste to produce the proper foam head -- is now hands-free, fast and almost perfectly efficient. Springer said stadiums that have used the system have gone from using eight beer pourers for every two cashiers to having one beer pourer for every eight cashiers. A single stand has been able to deliver 56 draft beers in one minute, an unofficial world record.

I'm just waiting for the lawsuit the first time one of those magnets becomes dislodged and causes someone to choke. Sort of like choking on the worm in the tequila bottle.

Yeah, the pressure the Flyers are putting on the Habs is incredible. I hope the Flyers finish it out strong and head into the break on a huge high!

Hard to believe the 'Great One' turns 50. He looks great too, if he ever decided to lace' em up again, he would still add a few assists here and there. Happy B-day Wayne.
