You almost wonder if Miller will give up a softie just because he barely has seen any rubber this period.

Probably not, because he's the best goalie in the world today.

Can the Finnish coach turn up the defensive slider?

It was 1-0, and I just took 10 min to shovel off the ice wall the plow left in front of my driveway...

I would have loved to see the look on my own face as I came in to check the score.

Holy WTF?!

How does this happen in an Olympic semifinal game? Makes me wonder if Finland partied a little too hard last night.

Gotta laugh after comments last night by
Jacques rogge that women's hockey needs to be
more competitive and be more like the mens
game.

Best wishes,

Doug

I think Rogge and FIFA President Sepp Blatter are fraternal twins. Both corrupt fools.

Please shut up, Doc Emerick. Kane makes a beautiful end-to-end rush, and Doc instead continues to empty his mental Wikipedia of useless minor-league hockey information.

Can NBC use the CTV feed for the gold medal game? :)

I disagree with McGuire's assessment that this huge lead will keep the USA fresh for Sunday. I think the lethargic, almost "let's get this game over with" pace of the second period is bad for Team USA.

They're going to need to play balls out for 60 minutes Sunday to win gold, and coasting for the last 40 minutes of the semifinal game isn't going to keep them sharp.

Then again, veteran leaders like Drury will keep the U.S. on its toes in practice tomorrow.

Ryan Miller has allowed five goals in 4 2/3 games so far in this tournament. Heading for his second consecutive shutout.

Best goalie on Earth. Any questions? :)

Few announcers get on my nerves more than Emerick. At least he finally has the IIHF rules figured out, unlike the first couple games I heard him call in this Olympics.

Miller would have stopped that goal Thomas allowed because Miller is the Chuck Norris of American goaltending.

The US is performing as well as I hoped they would so far in the tournament. This is very encouraging. These guys seem to want it pretty bad.
