The game has shifted more on the offensive side after the post lockout. The league wanted to clean up on the amount of grabbing and hooking that benefitted teams that would sit back on a 1-0, 2-0 lead and clog you to death in the neutral zone resulting in very boring games.

The neutral zone play is not as tight as 2K9, neither is the boarding aspect of the game, and the crisp tape to tape passes may seem a bit just too perfect for a lot of folks, creating that sense of openness.

The only touches I have adjusted in 09 are the speed and penalty sliders everything else just feels fine.

Have you tried adjusting pass accuracy? I'm looking forward to playing NHL2K9.

Basically you view your replay...cut it down to size with the convenient controls included in the game...save it...upload it to your EA Sports World account...log in to your EA account...view your videos...post the link in this forum.

Er, what he said. :P

There is a tutorial on the instant replay thing. I think if you're actually IN an instant replay, you hit the back button for all the help, but I could be wrong.

The only bummer is if you do this in the middle of a game, it can take 5 minutes to edit and encode the video and upload it, but meh, sometimes it's worth it. ;)

Then, as db says, you just view the video on your easportsworld account, click share, and one of the options is a link you can copy and then paste whereever.

You can also send it to facebook, myspace (i think) and various other places....

Yep and I can see they're trying to move in the right direction with NBA Live. It probably still won't be at 2K's level, but I noticed this year it has BAP, just like NHL does and that mode is fun as hell.

I love the goal variety in this game. It's nice to be able to score from the point. Here's one I scored from the blue line after a turnover:

Got my first major penalty for boarding. I know many were wondering if it was in the game. Five minutes in the sin bin and game misconduct.

Are you guys seeing many penalties? I'm playing five minute periods and I'm lucky to see more than two the entire game.

Mizz I would have bought your copy of NHL2K9 but I bought a new copy on Half.com for $37 shipped. That's before you had yours for sale.
No biggie.. I don't mind still having it to play a game here and there.

No, I'm not seeing many eihter. What helps (tho it's a bit unrealistic) is upping poke check effect, which will give you more tripping calls.....

kinda hokey, but at least you'll get a few PPs that way.

Increase the hit power slider as it seems to help CPU called penalties. For offline games, I am playing at AS level and 7 minutes period.

This was my very first goal, once I got to the NHL. My family is so proud. :)

From a note from Littman on easportsworld:

"We are also working on a patch that will fix this issue for most people. We have listened to your gameplay feedback and some controller functionality feedback, so we will fix those in the patch as well. Keep your feedback coming. We are listening. Details to follow on the patch date."

It's about the DDE, but then goes on to mention the other stuff. Goody goody!

Last year it had OTP which is why I wound up buying it instead of 2K. I just like playing with other people as opposed to playing against other people. :D

Servers were FUBAR last night. Forensic and Dogma got into one game, but we spent over 30 minutes trying to get into another with no luck. :( No OTP, no BAP, no quick 1v1 games...nothing.

And I'm anxious to try out the new re-spec'd Chester Burnett. All ass-kicking all the time. Defense with an elbow and a smile.
I played against this guy last night and he is a handful.

Yes, where my BAP starts shooting while in the locker room, C.B. starts throwing the body :P
