Ok folks that list I posted the other day came from joystig and OXM, apparently that was not suppose to be listed yet as MS made no annoucement. since MS doesn't like anyone stealing their thunder, don't hold your breath for that schedule to hold up.
Whats amazing is they apparently have tons of titles ready to go but MS is holding them off to release at strategic times. I thought 5 weeks of XBLA Weds was a great thing and built up a lot of steam. But i guees i am wrong.

Not sure about this, but I read somewhere the MS was keeping some titles and features back until November to release during the PS3 launch.Danimal wrote: Whats amazing is they apparently have tons of titles ready to go but MS is holding them off to release at strategic times. I have easily gotten my money's worth out of Galaga. I'll be purchasing Pac-Man tonight.
I'd love for the games to be cheaper, but from a business standpoint $5 seems very reasonable. I doubt they would sell 750k at $2 to equal selling 300k @$5. I used to easily spend $5 in one afternoon 20+ years ago playing these games.

I agree with you. I dont have any problem with $5 tag. If its a game we like and will play its well worth it.
Im happy with Galaga but Like PigPen after playing the Pac man demo I wont be buying that one...I was going to get it but then I remembered I really didnt like it that much...
I do have Joust and I love that one.
I was worried about the analog control because of my bad experience playing a "homebrew" PSP pac-man game. It seems my fears are legit as I am having trouble making precise movements. The D pad is worthless. This is with the stick. Luckily, I haven't paid for it yet but I don't think I'm going to buy it.
Just saw some screens of Texas Hold 'Em over at Team Xbox. The game is a free download for the first 48 hours on the Marketplace. Pretty cool.

I am pretty amped for this game. I've been wanting to learn how to play better and this looks like the ticket.

I agree. The controls are absolutely horrible, and that's exactly what stopped me from purchasing the full game.Leebo33 wrote:I was worried about the analog control because of my bad experience playing a "homebrew" PSP pac-man game. I don't remember the arcade version ever having the most precise controls though.sportdan30 wrote:I agree. The d pad on both of my wireless controllers hit the edge when pressing right.

Don't forget to grab the Texas Hold 'em game today and tomorrow guys, if you like free stuff!
I grabbed it quick before I came to work this morning, only about a 26MB download.
Took a quick look, it has a simple interface like most of the arcade games, but looks like it could be a blast with a good group of guys. The whole idea of seperate and persistant bankrolls seems cool.

Absolutely! I play in a regular cash game on Friday night, but this would be fun for a change to play with some virtual money. Might make the wife happier when I have a bad night.Sport73 wrote:I'm going to grab it as soon as I get home...Who's up for a TRUE DSP poker night tonight?

There's also a new Test Drive Unlimited demo up. It's pretty much the same demo as last time with a few more cars, a motorcycle, and a 60-minute restriction instead of a 15-minute one. This game ships on September 5th for $39.99.
I am a patient boy.
I wait, I wait, I wait, I wait.

Yeah, the whole idea I think is really cool, and I hope it works well in practice. I had a little trouble with the cars, I found them pretty twitchy but when I turned steering senseitivity too far down I couldn't make sharp corners well. But I kept playing it. I still haven't tried the motorcycle. I like the fact you can adjust the cockpit camera, though i feel like it's too far to the side. Exploring, how many miles of real road on a real Hawaiian island is a pretty damn cool idea.Dave wrote:Damn these demos!
Anyone enjoying the Test Drive demo? I really worry that the game will completely lose its legs when the online crowd moves on, but it seems like a cool concept with pretty good execution.

I've been enjoying the heck out of the Just Cause demo, man what a blast. Reminds me of a PC game from over 10 years ago, but I forget the name of it; it also had to do with starting a revolution on a bunch of islands.
The new Test Drive demo is cool also, I already have had $5 down on it for a while now. I think it is a cool concept, and the pickup races are fun, although dudes just driving around ramming you gets old. Lots of road to get away from them though.

That's one of my big hang-ups on this game--the best part of it is the online component, but in some ways it will also be the worst part. I really don't want to have to rely on random people to make this an enjoyable game.Gurantsu wrote:The new Test Drive demo is cool also, I already have had $5 down on it for a while now. Atari's $40 price point makes it easier to take a chance on it though.
