Nope, lost both my left side tires and just spun myself right off the cliff, lol. Unrecoverable I guess. Haha.

Right! Oddly, the points didn't seem to count for that week, either. Weird.

Ugh.... Yes, it does not appear that it gave anyone points for Rally 2. Very annoying! There is a section in the roster management where you can apply penalties. I was hoping that I could just put negative numbers in the penalty sections so that everyone got scored correctly for the last rally. Sadly, that does not appear to work. There is also a section called bonus, but the UI gives no way to access it. Sorry guys. worst case scenario, I have the points and results in a spreadsheet so I will calculate them on my own and apply accordingly. Sorry for the delay in posting the results.

It looks like several of you have started this weeks Rally in Greece, so I know this may be too late for some, but here are the details and car options for Greece Rally 3:

Rally 3 - Greece, Route 2

Vehicle Class:
Hyundai Rally - must be used by Rockjaw McGraw, Fshguy, theycallhimsim, RingBearer
Volkswagen Polo Rally - can only be used by Dbdynsty25, vader29, Ace EZ, HOGZ TheTruth, XXXIV 34
Everyone else can pick from Ford Fiesta RS Rally, MINI Countryman Rally Edition, Hyundai Rally

*** Since we will usually have somewhere between 10 - 15 racers at the most from week to week I decided to make it easy on the Tier handicapping and go Top 3 from previous week use the Hyundai Rally, bottom 3 and/or anyone outside of the Top 10 are allowed to use the Volkswagen Polo Rally.

Date range: Monday 06/20/2016 12:00 noon EDT - Monday 06/27/2016 3:00am EDT

Stage: Track: Conditions:
1 Greece, Ourea Spevsi (S) Morning / Clear
2 Greece, Ypsona tou Dasos (S) Midday / Sunny
3 Greece, Perasma Platani (L) Sunset / Clear
4 Greece, Abies Koiláda (S) Night / Clear
5 Greece, Tsiristra Théa (L) Morning / Clear
6 Greece, Pedines Epidaxi (S) Midday / Sunny

I've been on the fence about this game. Is it fun or is it frustrating?

I could get WRC 5 for $25.00 & based upon the demo it seems similar to the old Colin McRae series that I loved. Would that be better game for a casual rally fan?

Not frustrating at all, and I only say that because I know you like driving games (thinking of Danimal's earlier "should I get this game?" question, and when it comes to people who don't play racing games, the answer is no). It's incredibly fun as long as you don't try to push the car too hard. If you do, it becomes frustrating in a hurry. Always keep the weight balance in mind and stay a corner ahead in your mind to make sure you keep the car on the right path. If you get behind, it will all come apart in a hurry.

Disagreed. It's frustrating as hell...

But then again, that's what I enjoy about it. Some people like to torture themselves. Apparently I'm one of those guys when it comes to racing/rally games. It's incredibly difficult. WRC5 was much more laid back and chill. Not even in the same stratosphere in terms of realism though. So if you just wanna throw the car around WRC5 is fantastic. If you want the "real" rally experience...you go w/ Dirt Rally.

Well that sucked . It goes south so fast.
Stage 3, that jump, into a rock, gets me every time. I 've practiced it and i hit that rock every time. Im thinking my co driver is Stephen Merchant and am an idiot abroad....Eer we have a side stop for you ... we need you to do a rally in Greece. i can hear Ricky Gervais chuckling in the back ground.

So I was having an okay Rally. Behind fshguy, of course, but doing okay even though I was kind of rushing through it. Last stage, 80% through...I nipped the inside of a turn and the car nosed around facing it. Unfortunately, as is usually the case in Greece, behind me was a sheer drop. Trying to back up a 'bit' and then spin the tires to get the car facing the right way, I screwed it up and rolled down the mountain side and the game judged this to be terminal.

So, I'm out - looking forward to driving the Volkswagen next week!

Going to try one more time at some point today to get my rally's in, last two days I haven't been able to connect to the racenet servers, very frustrating.

I am sure everyone would agree to. As if the game is not hard enough (for me anyhow), but the servers have been the sh!ts since release. Unacceptable.

It's not so much that they won't count, more that you can't earn them to start off with - you just get told RaceNet is down when you select Leagues, so it doesn't even load a stage. I got 2 stages done earlier in the week, one of them decent and the other not, and was looking forward to blotting my copybook further tonight, but no dice.

So the guys who completed get all the points then. We will just split the last few positions between us i think that is the fairest way to do it.

Because of a 3 day server outage?

It would be better to set up a custom rally and run through it and post the results. It would be a gentleman's agreement, but if I'd known I had to get it done in 3 days, that would have been the plan. We already lost points from the last rally, this season has just sort of been a mess with whatever is going on at Codemasters.

Don, I know the rules are not to post any times after 3AM ET this morning, but when I woke up at 4AM the servers were finally online so I rushed through the stages and got it done. This week was just screwed up on CM's side.
