Thanks hbo for making us wait a week to watch the most boring part of the show for the entire 50 minutes.

Wow. What a great hour of TV. I thought Sam was a goner.
The battle at the wall was like a movie all by itself. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. Great great job. This show never disappoints.

I was actually hoping to find out what happened with my boy the imp and seeing the sisters reunite but....each their own.

If you are happy then I am happy.

I knew this episode was gonna be all about the battle at the wall. I think we'll find out about Tyrian next week. I think they did a fantastic job with it.

I thought we would at least get a little cliff hanger for next week in the last 5 or 10 minutes, oh well next week should be great.

It was good but I was expecting more. I guess I was expecting some kind of twist since the other seasons had it. Still good.

Just got finished watching last episode again.

With my expectations going into it last sunday night gone removed from the equation, I enjoyed it so much more.

So well done.

What an episode! I felt that Tywin was on his way out, but I thought Circei was going to kill him. Never expected Tyrian! And I never expected to see Shae in bed with that horny old dude! And then the great fight between the Hound and Brien! Love how Arya left the Hound to suffer.

Can't believe the season is over. I thought that was the best episode of the season. If 34 complains about this one, I don't know what's gonna happen :)

it was ok, was expecting more. i heard it was better in the book, but trying to get some details as to why.

the way the hound lost was total bs. maybe if the lady had some fire trick, no way he loses to anyone after how they built his story up.

finally the wall story got good with jon snow and wannabe king.

i hear it's all downhill from here.

Spectacular finale with a few odd choices, I thought. Two scenes that didn't seem particularly worthy of the time that was dedicated to them. Jon seeing off Ygrid and Cersei tending to The Mountain. Given the otherwise incredible developments, it seemed odd to turn our attention to those matters that did little to advance either plot or character, IMO.

That said, everything else was just crackling. Bitchin' skeletons and fireballing dryads, Tyrion taking care of family business and then dropping the crossbow like Michael Corrleone dropping the .38 in Louis' restaurant, the no-holds-barred cage match resulting in the Hound's demise and easily the most poignant scene featuring dragon abandonment that one is ever likely to see.

Great stuff.

Solid finale. There was a lot to cover, and 70 minutes was barely enough.

If I recall from books, there is no encounter between the Hound and Brienne, but the Hound is dying from the infected wound and Arya leaves him. If you didn't like Brienne beating him, recall she has already beaten top knights in Jaime and Loras, and the Hound was slowed by his infection as noted by Arya last episode. Also, I haven't read book 4, but I also believe the Bran and Dany storylines last night were already dipping into book 4.

I don't know what comes of the Mountain, but I presume the reason for that scene last night means some weird s*** is going to happen with him next season. I was mostly expecting him to die actually.

I know. I wasn't sure who to root for when he was fighting Brienne.

Even when he was dying he still had the lines....."killed by a girl" :)

But the Hound technically isn't dead yet, but lets say it's not looking good.

"The Hound" ??
